Amber searched for Rian. “He’s at the hunters’ village.”
“Why is he still there?” Crystal demanded. “Surely he should be back by now. It doesn’t take that long to travel through the Void.”
Amber grinned at Crystal. “I sense where people are, not see them. You can go after him if you’re worried about him. It’s not like we can do anything until he returns.” Before she could tell Crystal she could stop worrying, that Rian had entered the Void, he stepped out in front of them.
Crystal threw her arms around Rian. “What happened? You were gone ages. Are you okay?”
“Kali’s people were unhappy with her going alone. I took two of them over to the village once I checked with the hunters.”
“So you’re okay?” Crystal drew back to eye Rian up and down.
