There’s an adage that implies not all that glitters is gold ,Wes has a rare autoimmune disease that affects his mobility.This challenge presents physical limitations for Wes,making everyday tasks more difficult for him. It would require him to adapt and find new ways to navigate his personal and professional life. This health challenge would provide an opportunity to explore his resilience, determination, and the unwavering support he receives from Mea. It would be a journey of growth and overcoming obstacles for Wes. Wes’s health challenge happens be a degenerative neurological condition that affects his motor skills and coordination. This condition gradually worsens over time, making it increasingly difficult for him to perform everyday tasks. Simple actions like walking or even holding objects become a challenge for him. This presents a significant obstacle in his personal and professional life, as he has to find alternative ways to navigate the world around him. It's a tough journey for Wes, but his determination and resilience shines through as he learns to adapt and overcome these challenges Wes's health challenges have been a rollercoaster ride, besties!. He's faced some serious obstacles, from chronic illness to physical limitations. Wes faced the challenge of living with a chronic illness called cystic fibrosis. It's a genetic disorder that affects the lungs and digestive system. It can cause breathing difficulties, frequent infections, and other health complications. Cystic fibrosis an inherited life-threatening disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system. Cystic fibrosis affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive juices. It causes these fluids to become thick and sticky. They then plug up tubes, ducts and passageways. Cystic fibrosis can affect the digestive system by causing thick, sticky mucus to build up in the pancreas. This can block the ducts that carry digestive enzymes to the small intestine, leading to problems with nutrient absorption and digestion. It can also cause issues with the liver and gallbladder. Managing the digestive aspects of cystic fibrosis often involves enzyme replacement therapy and a carefully balanced diet. It's a complex condition. Incase you’re wondering what Enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) is ,it is a treatment commonly used in cystic fibrosis management. It involves taking synthetic enzymes in the form of capsules or tablets with meals and snacks. These enzymes help break down and digest food properly, compensating for the digestive issues caused by cystic fibrosis. By taking these enzymes, individuals with cystic fibrosis can better absorb nutrients from their food. It's an important part of managing the condition and promoting better overall health. Wes has been diligent in following his ERT regimen to support his digestion and overall well-being. Of course there’s always a solution to every problem ,so there definitely was a solution to Wes’s sorrows and pain. In addition to enzyme replacement therapy, there are several other treatments used in the management of cystic fibrosis. Chest Physiotherapy involves techniques to help loosen and clear the thick mucus from the lungs, making breathing easier. It can include percussion, vibration, and postural drainage. Medications,there are various medications used to manage cystic fibrosis. These can include antibiotics to treat and prevent lung infections, bronchodilators to open up the airways, and mucolytics to help thin the mucus. Airway Clearance Devices,these devices help individuals with cystic fibrosis clear mucus from their airways. Examples include positive expiratory pressure (PEP) devices and high-frequency chest wall oscillation (HFCWO) devices. Exercise: Regular physical activity, such as aerobic exercise, can help improve lung function and overall fitness in individuals with cystic fibrosis. Nutritional Support, a well-balanced diet and nutritional supplements may be recommended to ensure individuals with cystic fibrosis are getting adequate nutrition. These treatments are tailored to each individual's needs and may vary. Wes has been proactive in following his treatment plan to manage his cystic fibrosis and maintain his health.Thereby making the stress of Mea’s mental and physical emotion ease. Despite this, Wes has shown incredible resilience in managing his condition and living life to the fullest. He's truly an inspiration!
