Kyla was certain that the mass wedding ceremony at Llandover Castle would be a complete contrast to the one a month before in Gwent. There would be no forced marriages of blackmailed women or ones bought from families of a lower class or captured after a battle. Altogether, fifty-six women had agreed to marry grooms who had proposed to them. This included Vera who would be marrying Owl who pretended to be reluctant but how could he really object with little Graham growing into a great little fellow and another little brother or sister due to arrive in the world within a month? The twenty-one grooms, by royal decree were each allowed up to four brides and the proviso of contract marriages that could be annulled or continued after one year and a day was also allowed.
