CHAPTER 2

•• IRIS POV ••

Finally first day back at school, I can feel flames running on my skin. It’s going to go PERFECTLY, I can feel it. When I arrived everything was normal, I went with my friends to talk but then I saw Lou, I hadn’t seen her in a long time! She went on vacation almost a month before vacation. I ran to her and we hugged eachother. When class started the teacher told us to sit in our regular places, but she was going to switch them. Then I heard “Theo go sit next to Iris” and I immediately remembered something my dad told me and I stood up and said:

I: Excuse me miss but I will not seat next to Theo.

Ms: excuse me? Are you challenging my authority? He will seat next to you want it or not

I: My dad has me f*******n to seat next to him or have a project with him

Ms: well then I will have to hand you a report young lady

I: and my dad will gladly sign it.

Ms: I will also call your mom

I: oh don’t bother to, call my dad, he is the responsible for those occasions, even if you call her she will redirect you to my dad

Ms: I will hand you your report.

Then she gave me a report and I didn’t really care.

At lunch, as expected, when I was going in the cafeteria, there was a huge line, but then, I feel a hand on my arm, it was Theo. Jackpot

T: Hey Iris can we talk?

I: here? Right now?

T: yeah, Can we?

I: I guess fine. What do you want Theo

T: well, all break I couldn’t stop thinking about how wrong I did you and how wrong it was what I did

I: go straight to the point.

T: what I’m trying to say is.. do you wanna be friends again??

I: what.

T: do you wanna be friends again like before? With full trust?

I: that trust has to be earned. It’s not that easy Theo.

T: how can I re earn it?

I: well, you will know

After that, it was my turn in the line so I bought lunch and left without saying a word to Theo. When I was walking to where my friends were I felt like this was just the beginning. He has no idea what’s about to come for him.

On P.E. class, which was after lunch and recess, Theo wasn’t there, he never missed P.E. Class, it was very weird, but then a girl a year older than me (10th grade), called me and said someone was waiting for me in my classroom, my classroom was empty so I thought it might be my teacher. I walked into the classroom and on the furthest side of the classroom, was someone with something red and big on its hands, I thought that was weird, I walked to it and every step I could see it clearer, it was what it seemed like a rose bouquet and… THEO?!

It was a rose bouquet with my favorite chocolates in the center and at the top it said “do you want to be friends again?”, I was in shook, then he said, “I know you love flowers and I really want us to be friends again, so?” I knew I had to keep the plan running so I said “I- uh- um- sure I guess. But don’t be like last time.” “I promise I wont” he replied.
