Chapter Thirty Nine
I walked out of the grill still thinking of Sonny’s eyes. I did not hear what he said before his pupils dilated like that.
I saw Travis waiting outside his car. He smiled when he saw me. I walked towards him. “Let’s go?” I asked and he nodded. We entered his car and he drove off to my house.
The next day, we woke up late. We made love last night and we slept at around 2 am. Travis was already awake when I woke up but he was just hugging me.
“Good morning,” I greeted.
He kissed my head. “Good morning,” he said. “You still want to sleep?” he asked. I nodded. He took a deep breath before he stood up. “I’ll just wash up and cook. I’ll wake you up when the foods ready, okay?”
