Chapter One   I was packing my bags inside my room. I’ll be leaving this house. I’ll be leaving my family. I want to start over in a town where no one knows me. Where I can be what I want to be.   I went out of my room carrying my bags. I saw my Mom in our living room. “Will you be okay?” she asked, her eyes watered.   I nodded my head. “I’ll be fine.” I hugged her.   “Your brother will take you to Clarksville.” My Mom hugged me tighter. “Be careful in there. If you have any problem, you can always call home.” She said and kissed my temple.   I let go of her and kissed her cheek. “Thank you. I love you.” I sincerely told her.   “Oh, I love you, too, honey.” She said and held my hand. I laughed because she was about to cry.   “I’ll see you soon,” I told her. She nodded. “I have to go. You take care!” she let go of my hand. I walked out of our house. I saw my brother waiting outside his car, standing beside his car.   “Let’s go!” he said and opened the back seat for me to put my bag inside. He closed the door when I was done. He opened the shotgun seat for me. I slid inside and said thank you to him.   He nodded and turned around to get inside the driver’s seat. I put my seat belt on, he did the same. He started the engine and drove off.   “Will you be okay in there, little sister?” he turned to me and asked.   I nodded. “Of course. I wanted this.” I said.   He didn’t answer. We stayed silent until we reached the town of Clarksville. We passed by the market. The house my Mom bought was located in between the market and the lake. It was a nice place because it is also near to the school here.   When we reached the place, my brother pulled in front of the house. He helped me carry my bags inside. I opened the door with the key my Mom gave me.   When the door was opened, I went inside, my brother tailing me. “Just put my bags on the floor,” I told him.   He followed what I said. Then he turned to me. “So this is it, huh? When will I see you again?” he asked.   “You have not even left yet.” I chuckled. “I’ll visit you and Mom soon. Or you can visit me here.” I told him.   “Okay, fine. I’m just not used to not seeing you at the home.” He said. “Come here and give your big brother a hug.” He spread his arms. I went to him and hugged him.   “I’ll see you, soon. Take care of Mom, and yourself.”  I told him.   I felt him nodding. “I will. You don’t need to tell me that.” We let go of the hug and he ruffled my hair. I slapped his hands but he just laughed. “I’ll go now, little sister.” He said and he kissed my cheek. “Take care.” He added.   I just nodded and smiled at him. He went out of the house. I stood by the door watching him go inside the car. I waved at him when he started the engine. He waved back before he drove off.   When my brother’s car was out of my sight, I went back inside the house. I sighed while looking at the new place I will be living in. It’s just a small house enough for me. The color of the interior of the house is a black and white combination. The living area has a fireplace, a black leather couch, a white coffee table, a small flat-screen television, and a black bookshelf.   I also saw a bathroom door beside the kitchen area. I opened the door and saw a small bathroom.   I went to the kitchen and saw that it was already equipped with cooking materials. There’s already a stove and when I opened the cabinet, I saw food supplies. My Mom must have asked someone to do groceries before I move in here.   I returned to the living room. I turned the lights on because it was getting dark. Then I got my bags off the floor. I went inside the bedroom and also turned the light on.   The room was beige with brown accents. The bed frame was made of wood while the bed sheet and pillowcases are beige. There’s a television in front of the bed. There’s also a heater on the left side of the room. I also saw a bathroom with a shower.   I walked to the drawers for my clothes. I put my bags on the floor beside the drawer. I’ll just arrange them later. I got my pair of fluffy slippers inside my bag. I removed my boots and put on the slippers.   I went back to the kitchen to make some food. I saw a loaf of bread so I just made sandwiches for myself. I decided to stay in the living room to watch television while eating.   After eating, I decided to return to my room to arrange my things. I put all my clothes in the drawer, arranging them. When I was done, I got my towel and went to the bathroom to take a bath.   When I was done taking a bath, I brushed my teeth before going out of the bathroom. I changed into my PJs then went straight to bed. I reached for the remote control so that I could watch the television. I just watched a reality show. When the show ended, I yawned. I was feeling so tired.   I went to the living room to turn off all the lights. Then I went back to my room. I also turned the lights off. I lied on my bed thinking what I would do the next day. Should I just stay at home? But the house feels so bare, it doesn’t have any decoration and all.   I sighed. I closed my eyes, thinking of what to do tomorrow morning. I didn’t realize that I have already drifted off to sleep.
