Like a flash it seemed we were in another place. Time travel was a lot smoother than I had imagined it would be. I was expecting a lot more nausea. I looked around the familiar place I had landed and the first face I landed on was my sweet baby girl's face. It was hard to miss because she was smiling and she hasn't smiled in years. I sucked in breath and I just took her in. " What time is it?" I asked the mage as if asking somehow grounded me into this moment. "11am" "Can she see us?" I asked hopefully. Thinking that maybe I could try and talk to her like we used to. "No. no one can. we are just here to observe. To understand." I nodded sadly, I wanted this moment with her but I had to remember my mission. I looked around trying to remember where exactly I was and then it hit me. I was in my office fighting yet again with Roman about his whereabouts the night before. It seemed so silly now as I watched my baby laugh and nothing in particular. Just being the silly her I missed so much but i didn't have much time to enjoy it. There was another flash then it was dark but this time I was standing in the hall next to the grandfather clock I hadn't seen in years. Before I could ask why Rafi fast forward time I heard a familiar voice calling in a sickening teasing voice. "Reign, I'm going to catch you girl." My body stiffened as I slowly turned to see a face I've seen a thousand times, the monster that was in the walls. What was he doing calling my daughter name? What was going on? Why was Caesar chasing her? My eyes darted around the halls desperately to get eyes on her. Then in the shadow I saw her push the clock on him and run. My heart tugged as I chased far behind her as if me being there could change what my mind couldn't fathom happening. She slid into a cleaning closet but before she could get the door closed Caesar arm was in the way. Paralyzed I just stood there full of sorrow as I watched what he did to my baby. Tears fell hard and hot on my face as I knew all I could do was watch. Everything and nothing made since. Rafi didn't have to say anything. I just knew this is what took my daughters voice and who could I blame other than myself? I knew he was monster. I knew what he did to other wolves and for the name of loyalty , of brotherhood, of friendship I covered up all of his sins. I looked the other way when it came to his evil and it all led to this moment. After what seemed like forever I watched him get up and inject her with something. and then took her by her ankles dragging her into her mother's bedroom. I watched as the monster that violated my daughter kneeled down and whispered in her ear and left her there. I followed him out of the room. I needed to know what he did next. It was like some kind sick punishment, like I needed salt in the wound. A woman was approaching with her head down. But it was too dark to tell who it was she was fiddling with something in her hand. I watched as Caesar looked around before pulling the woman into a room and shut the door. I wanted to hear what they were saying. As if she heard my thoughts Rafi blurted, "We can walk through walls you know?" I gave her the most annoyed look. How was I supposed to know we can walk through walls if she didn't tell me ? I stepped forward a little cautious and it felt like the wall was mist parting just for me. Once I was in the room I saw Caesar kissing this woman but now it was lit enough for me to now see it was the Luna. My mouth became dry. I was immediately disgusted with them both. Not because she was my mate or that she was cheating but I seen what he did to my daughter, the daughter I shared with her. Did she know who she was kissing? Didn't she smell our baby on him? To be honest though, I didn't know how to feel. Especially because watching them I could see so much passion in her eyes. Passion she never had with me. Before I could ask them there was another flash and I was back in my office. My mind was in a lot of different places but there was something I wanted to know right there. "what did he say to her?" Sharper than I meant. The mage looked at me with a grave expression. "He said 'I'll kill them all if you ever talk' " I found this to be less and less helpful seeing as I had more questions than I did answers.
