It made no sense. Why was my wolf calling to her? Was she my real mate? My head was spinning as I tried my best to wrap around what was happening to me. I looked over and realized Rafi had been following closely behind me this whole time. Watching my every move.
"Rafi, who am I supposed to be following?"
"No one big guy, I thought you should see it all from this night."
"But the rules-"
"I make the rules big guy, no one else."
I figured it would be easier for me if I just quit arguing with the mage. Time was limited and I wanted to see if this could yield any answers for me. From behind me I saw a shadow of a girl with a familiar scent, and I followed her. I wasn't sure why but I did. I followed her all the way to the basement in the tech room. No one ever came down here which was strange enough but when I realized the girl I had been following was none other than Harmony, the girl that would one day become my Luna, my interest was peaked. Harmony looked over her shoulder and then inched into the room. Forgetting she cant see me I stilled then took a deep breath and walked through the door. To no ones surprise stood Caesar in the room with a grin. "So, you're my mate? what a sick twist of fate." Caesar said with a low voice sounding a little amused. I watched as Harmony shifted uncomfortably from one foot to the next and let out a huff and crossed her arms. "I'm still willing to go along with the plan if you are. I already masked Julianna's scent so he cant smell her but it will only work a couple more hours before it wears off, so we have to move fast. unless you'd rather call this off and we could just be together." Harmony seemed hopeful that Caesar would change his mind on the subject. Rightfully so seeing how she did just seem to find out they are indeed mates. But if my life was any indication I knew he wasn't going to change anything. I was more than furious that they kept my real mate from me all this time. I didn't want to hear his response. I didn't care. so I all but ran out of the room. When I was back in the dusky hallway in the basemen I all but fell into Rafi. "Hurry big guy time is running out and there's one last thing you have to see. She took my hand and the calmness fell over me which was kind of annoying seeing how I wanted to be mad. quickly we made it up the stairs and through the back door following a path to the woods. When I heard 2 voices.
I heard a girl crying and speaking quickly "...I don't know if he'll want me but shouldn't we be able to try?" The voice what I now recognized to be a girl sounded so broken hearted and my heart wrenched. When we got to a small clearing my suspicions were confirmed the voice I heard was Julianna's but what threw me off was in front of her was Rafi herself. A bit smaller in size, there she stood holding Julianna hushing her like a baby. My heart broke for my mate and how devastated she was. Whether I knew what was happening or not this was a blow to the both of us. "It'll be okay. The goddess has put you together and fate will deem it so." Young Rafi whispered into her sisters ear. I looked over to my Rafi and I could see the sadness in her eyes as she watched what happened unfold again. without breaking her gaze she said "This day was a day for a long time you remembered as good. But watching my sister in this moment I know this was her worse." I was stunned to say the least, but now I found myself numb to all the things I had learned that day. "There was nothing you could have done?" My words probably came off as accusatory but it was more like a statement. I saw there was nothing she could do in they way she held her sister in front of me. So she didn't answer and I didn't expect her to.
After a while young Rafi wiped her tears and her eyes became white as spoke what sounded like a prophecy to her sister. "In 18 years time the spell on him will be weakened and I will be there. To remind him of you. to fix what has been broken. and in 18 years time the clock will restart you won't be crying in this spot you'll be smiling. I swear it Julianna." I watched Julianna's widen and then close. "That's a hopelessly long time Rafi." Julianna Whispered. Rafi grinned mischievously "Not if you wont remember."
I looked over at the Rafi next to me and she was already looking at me smiling " I am doing something about it big guy, and i've only just begun." and with a snap of her fingers, the scene in front of me was gone.
