The following morning, Eric had already prepared breakfast before we left the cabin. Stepping outside, he flashed a playful grin and said, "Hey, sleepyhead, breakfast is ready." After we finished eating, we decided to follow D's suggestion and explore the nearby hiking trail that led to the top of the waterfall. Surrounded by lush greenery and accompanied by the gentle sound of birds, we walked together, the rest of the group trailing ahead.
All of a sudden, Eric turned to me with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Race you to the top," he challenged, pointing to a steep incline that led to a clearing in front of the waterfall.
