___ Eric's POV ___
We have been back from our two-week honeymoon for a week now. Dad had spoken to the council of Alphas about Natalie's royal lineage and her claim to the throne. We are currently in a meeting with them to discuss and decide whether or not her claim is valid. They also need to determine if I will become her king or prince consort, or if I will remain the alpha of our pack, despite being married and fated mates.
Dad is usually on the board, but he can't be part of this decision because it involves his daughter-in-law, although he dislikes the "in-law" part. With a mix of anticipation and nervousness, I couldn't help but feel that this meeting was critical for Natalie's future as well as mine.
