Since leaving the hospital together, Nat and I have embarked on a journey of healing and rebuilding trust in our friendship. We started by spending more time together, rediscovering the friendship we once had. We went hiking, had movie nights, and even took our wolves out on a trip to visit our favorite childhood spots.
Nat's wolf is the most beautiful wolf I have ever seen. Her fur, just like her hair, was a rich ebony black, glistening under the moonlight. Her eyes, previously a comforting hazel, now emitted a captivating amber glow.
While spending time with her, my beast is at ease. He stirs to life every time we are apart, but it's not as bad as it was at boot camp.
