As I approached her, I asked, "Amanda, what's wrong? Who is it?"
Fear laced her voice as she replied, "His mother."
And I knew exactly who and why she was frozen in fear. This was the one person, besides him himself, who had abused Amanda. She was also the very first person to have started the abuse, even as a tiny pup. I was furious.
