___ Nat's POV ___
Eric and I sat and sorted through the documentation, putting the ones with the most relevance on one side to begin with. I was genuinely surprised to see him putting so much effort into our project. I had assumed that I would be doing everything alone.
Later in the early evening, I walked into the cozy double-storey cottage that I shared with my parents. The scent of burning wood in the fireplace mixed with the comforting aroma of my mother's homemade stew. "Mom, Dad, I need your help with a school project!" I exclaimed, my eyes glowing with warmth.
