LAYLA: “Stupid wolf,” I curse under my breath as I slam the door shut behind me. “I can’t believe he sees me as a duty,” I say, pondering on the reason I was mad at him before I had stormed off from his presence. “Duty? What am I? A weak human looking for help from anyone I come across? I never asked to be anyone’s burden since I came here and yet he just walked into my life to start dictating what he thinks I need to do to be safe. Gosh.” I lament even until I get into my room.
