DEREK: Occasionally, I glance at Layla as we both go through the woods to get through one of the secret passageways out of the pack. But each time I do, I notice she had her full focus on the road ahead, not even seeming like she wanted to even look at me one bit. The last time I saw her before today was two days ago after I saw her off to the route leading to her quarters. But I did not just leave her to go like that.
