Auren POV Maybe Lucen was right. Maybe Lorien was up to something. “This is stalking,” Lior’s voice drifted from behind me, laced with mockery. My eyelids fluttered shut in irritation when I realized he was no longer standing beside Lorien and Rion who were laughing together as though they had known each other their entire lives. I’d been so caught up in watching her that I hadn’t even noticed him slip away. “I’m protecting my mate,” I shot back, though we both knew he wasn’t wrong.
