"Because he’s going to want babies," Olyssia groaned, tipping her head back in exasperation.
My lips parted, startled by her reasoning. It wasn’t strange for someone to not want children, but refusing a relationship altogether because of it? That didn’t make sense to me. People could still be happy together without having kids. Surely, there had to be a man out there who fit all of Olyssia’s impossible standards and didn’t want children either.
"You don’t have to have babies just because you’re in a relat--"
"But you do!" she interrupted sharply, her voice heavy with resignation. "At least in our pack, you do."
Her words our pack stirred something inside me. The familiar pull of my wolf brushed against my consciousness, and I reached for her, desperate to draw her closer. B
