Chapter Fifteen: PanicThe world was spiralling out of control. The guards on the walls trained their bows on the three men. From every corner, heavy set soldiers bore down on them with iron shackles and bar gags. Paylen's head swam, Josephine's words still echoing in his ears: “They are Aberddu adventurers, arrest them.” He had no notion of what was happening at all. Had Josephine taken leave of her senses, was she possessed? Why was she doing this? This was not part of the plan.
