They had encountered nearly a dozen dogs now, but he knew full well that packs of these hideous dog demons could be as big as forty animals. These creatures, a nightmarish hybrid between Paravelian night hounds and demons, travelled in clutches of two or three, each clutch a tiny satellite of a much bigger pack. The pack kept in constant contact by sounds, smell and some said telepathic means.
