It was the first day of the inter-school competition. Usually, the teachers would be strictly enforcing the class hours, but since this was a highly-anticipated festival, the lessons were shorter and they were allowed to head to the gym so they could watch the games and support their players.
Both Anthony and Patrick were already at the gym, preparing for the first game against the San Mateo Public School basketball team. Ella had an assigned seat already by the courtside. This would be her first time to watch this close; she usually didn’t bother to watch the games before as she wasn’t really a fan of any of the players. Ella was sure that most of the game’s spectators today would be fan girls of their school’s basketball team.
