“Hey, what happened to you yesterday? Why were you with Ella?” Marcus asked Anthony the first thing when he arrived in the classroom. Ella told him that she would go ahead of him as she did not want anyone knowing that they were living in one roof.
“I caught an injured bird. I needed her help in rescuing it.” Anthony answered briefly.
“Oh. Then why didn’t you answer my message?” Marcus pouted.
“Because I’m tired of your whines.” Anthony waved his buddy off. “Now scram.”
“Why are you always so mean to me?” Marcus cried out loud, but he did go back to his seat.
