Chapter 30

4970 Words
Alita looked around at the small opening leading to the pack house. Young pups were running around wrestling and playing tag. Women sat up on the porch talking and sipping on their drinks. The Beta went forward first into the clearing and motioned for Alita to follow. She looked around and smiled a wicked grin. Suddenly as she stepped onto the clearing all eyes shot up to stare at her. It made her feel immensely proud. All the noise from the land went silent as Alita walked forward without a care in the world. The Beta nervously went into the house and as he looked back, he saw Alita had stopped and stared at one of the pups in the distance. A low growl came out as a warning, but she did not notice. She started walking towards the group of pups and all of them ran but the one little girl that had caught her eye. The little girl looked to be in awe and ran up to meet Alita halfway. Alita kneeled down and smiled at the girl, “Well hello, Ginger. Miss me?”  She opened her arms and the girl jumped into them giggling. The whole pack stiffened at the scene. “Where did you go! I want to watch the magic tricks again and you said we would fix my garden!” The girl pouted and squished Alita’s face making the witch laugh. “My dear, I had business to attend. It has only been a year since I saw you last. You know I cannot visit you all the time.” She looked the girl over. She had long sandy blonde hair, bright lime green eyes, sharp features built for a warrior, and extremely sharp teeth. When she smiled it resembled a shark. She was quite tall for her age, at a sturdy five feet and four inches she was a massive seven-year-old. Pulling away from the hug I smile brightly,” Well, since I have been gone so long how about I do a special trick right now?” I looked around to build her excitement and stood. She jumped up with glee and started to dance around. Motioning my hands for her to calm down she sits and watches carefully. “What type of trick would you want dear?” She watched as Ginger thought hard. Suddenly her face lit up and she ran off causing me to giggle. While she was running off, I was suddenly whipped around. “What do you think you are doing, witch?” The Beta was in my face and growling as he gripped my arm tighter. A blank expression adorned my features as I slowly looked down at his hand on my forearm. I narrowed my eyes and scoffed. I looked back up to see he was determined to not back down in front of the pack, but fear was radiating off him. Narrowing my eyes I smile and tilt my head, “Now, now, pup. I do remember you asked for my name, and I gave it. So, calling for me in such a manner must mean disrespect on your part. Continue to hold me in a rough way and I will promise misfortune upon this entire pack before you can take your next breath.”  He tried to be intimidating and tighten his grip and by doing so I took it as a threat. Immediately, I took my left hand and raised it slowly then touched his chest. I felt my aura darken and suddenly he dropped to the ground. “What did you do to him!” All the surrounding warriors came running to us just as Ginger had returned with a lump on her back. I looked at her perplexed as she sat the lump down and it was a young boy. Ignoring the warriors, I walk over humming. “Ginger, what does this boy have to do with my magic trick for you?” She smiled brightly and hugged the boy close. “This is my friend Samson; he cannot talk or walk because a mean rogue hurt him. Can you do the pretty blue magic and help him?” She had big puppy eyes that made me melt. Such a cute little thing begging, it almost made me sick that such a powerful being was begging me. Taking her chin in my hand and lifting her face up I touched our foreheads together,” If this were the trick you would like little queen then I shall provide.” Her eyes lit up happily. “Hear that Samson! Miss Alita is going to heal you and your mom and dad will love you again!” She squealed jumping around. I watched as the little boy’s eyes held fear and hope. I frowned knowing very well crippled pups typically were thrown away like trash. It sickened me knowing the wolf societies were so archaic in tradition and beliefs.  I kneeled in front of the boy and held his cheeks. He was a cute little thing, no more than ten years old, tiny in frame and a bronzed complexion from playing outside with bright blue eyes. He had short light brown hair that fell in front of his eyes. He stiffened when I leaned forward and kissed his forehead. I pulled him into a hug whispering,” No matter what I will always have love for you Samson. Remember love is meant to be unconditional. Once I fix your physical issues, it will not fix the pain that they abandoned you. Do you want me to fix you honey?” I pulled back to see him biting his lower lip and trembling slightly. Tears welled up in his eyes and I smiled wiping away a stray tear. He nodded his head yes and looked over at Ginger longingly. I knew he wanted to run and play with her. He wanted healed for him, not for anyone else. Smiling I nod and sit him down and pull his legs out from under him. I hummed and closed my eyes focusing on his soul. It was beautiful and kind, he was to be a strong man in life. A small smile graced my lips and I felt myself drifting into a meditative state. I gently touched his feet; they did not move. Focusing harder I started to massage the muscles. Each nerve was destroyed during the attack. I focused on his mental state as I continued to revive the nerves. As I worked on his legs, I started to see the event playing in his mind. I watched as he ran out of the pack house into a battle of warriors and rogues. He was frantically whipping his head back and forth looking for something, or someone. A loud scream could be heard, he whipped his head toward it, a loud growl escaped him as he ran as fast as his tiny legs could carry. A young girl was crying in the forest hugging a tiny plushie. She was covered in dirt, he kneeled in front of her relieved and hugged her tight. As he pulled away a loud growl was heard behind them. Each child stiffened and he looked wide eyed at the girl. He was trembling but stood slowly and turned around. His breath hitched as he came face to face with the rogue leader. He puffed up his chest to intimidate the wolf, but it seemed to laugh in his face.  Samson kept his eyes narrowed and he did not move, the rogue stepped forward and he stayed still ready for a fight. The girl was whimpering with wide eyes in shock of what was about to happen. Suddenly the rogue lunged forward and just as quickly Samson lunged as well. It threw the wolf off and with the open opportunity Samson stabbed him in the ribs with a silver blade he hid in his back pocket. Looking back, he tackled the wolf and gripped its neck leaving the knife imbedded in his ribs. Frantically Samson screamed, “Run, Emerald run!”  The young girl broke out of her shock and stood running back towards the pack house. After a minute of the rogue struggling to get Samson off, he flipped onto his back knocking the wind out of the boy. He fell off with a grunt and the wolf slashed at his back and bit his legs making him scream in agony. He tried to crawl away as the rogue watched. He was crying heavily, and the tears blurred any chance of escape. He opened his mouth to scream for help when the rogue bit down hard into the back of his neck. Searing pain went down his back as he heard a loud pop and felt something shift in his spine. Suddenly his screams stopped. His mouth was open, and he was pushing air out, but nothing came out. The rogue dropped him and pranced around laughing in the boy’s face. As Samson looked at the rogue it was tackled by a warrior wolf. Gasping lightly Alita looked at Samson who was trembling from the memory. She cupped his cheek and cried with him. Sending calming waves through his cheek he leaned into her hand nuzzling close. She had stopped massaging his legs and gently went to hold his throat. From a distance it would look as if I was choking him, but it was the gentlest of touches. A slight blue glow emanated from his throat and after three minutes it stopped. I let go and he kept his eyes closed. I stood up and gently took his hands. I lead him to stand. He never once cracked his eyes open and bit his lip. His legs wobbled under his weight, and I smiled brightly. I heard the crowd that had surrounded us from a distance gasp and watch in fear and awe. Everyone had left their Beta to watch me heal Samson, I smiled and let go of his hands. His eyes shot open, and he looked down at his legs. Tears started to fall freely as he broke out into a large smile. I took a step away and motioned for him to walk forward. He hesitated but Ginger excitedly yelled, “You can do it Samson!” With that he took a determined step tripping up a bit. The crowd gasped and I put my hand up to stop them from helping. He caught his footing, and he then took five steady steps into my arms. He hugged me tight, and I hugged him back as he had the brightest smile on his lips. I gently brush his hair out of his face and look into his eyes, “Now, what do we say when someone gives us a gift?” His eyes widened and he opened his mouth. With a hoarse and quiet voice, he spoke, “Thank you!” The crowd murmured and I squished his cheeks giggling. “Good boy. Now you and Ginger need to come with me. For now, you do not need to stress your voice, but I want you walking everywhere.” He nodded eagerly and took my hand as we walked through the crowd. Ginger pounced on me and forced me and Samson into a group hug,” Thank you, Miss Alita. Totally worth not seeing you for a whole year!” She was so bubbly. I giggled and hugged these two tight. It was almost time to take them home. I smiled thinking about taking them home. Ginger was an orphan and until now I assume Samson was as well. It would be their choice, but I have a feeling I will have these two with me. As I giggled a loud roar came from the pack house. Ginger and Samson stiffened causing me to frown. I looked up at the porch to see the young girl from Samson’s memories looking a bit older hiding behind a tall man. I smirked and looked away. I could feel his anger radiating through the field. It was refreshing honestly, pure anger was hard to come by without any sadness, or malicious intent. This man, I assume the Alpha, was simply angry. “Who are you, and why is Josh knocked out on the ground!” The first portion was directed at me but then he spoke to his warriors who all looked back to me. I rolled my eyes and scoffed, “I am Alita Narcissa and your very disrespectful Beta, Josh is it, manhandled me. I do not tolerate being manhandled so I simply paralyzed him. He will be fine in a few hours. It was his own aura that did it anyway, the man needs to relax. All that stress can kill you know.” I smiled waving off the fact I paralyzed the Beta. I smiled back at the two kids in my arms and hugged them tight again gushing and kissing their heads, “Just too cute gah, my little heart!” The Alpha raised a brow, and his mouth was open at my behavior. I giggled as the kids started to laugh at my antics. Many of the members seemed to shift back and forth uncomfortably. On one hand I was kind enough to heal a little boy but on the other I took down their most powerful warrior without batting an eye. Clearing his throat the Alpha approached and narrowed his eyes at the kids, “Who do you have from my pack that you are so fond of? Also, I am Alpha Atlas Cage of the Blue Blood Pack. My Beta had briefly mentioned you were on a quest and were found on our lands?” I let go of the kids and he scrunched his face in disgust. I scrunched my face back. Holding both Samson’s and Ginger’s hands I look the Alpha dead in the eye, “Yes, these two are very precious to me. I am on a special mission from the Goddess herself. I do not need permission to be here Alpha. I have been here many times and have never had your permission before. I know this land better then you do, I am much older than you and I have been here longer than any pack in this territory. If I were you, I would watch your tone towards me and your body language towards my children.” His eyes widened at my threat, and he laughed. I narrowed my eyes, and I could feel Samson looking down. His shame and agony pulsed threw my hand making me clench my teeth. Whereas Ginger remained calm. She was a powerful demon wolf after all. I was proud of her existence even if her wolf mother was not. After the Alpha settled down, he had a cocky grin plastered onto his face. “What is it that you need from my territory Narcissa? I also find it odd that you claim that these are your children. They are not anything but a disgrace to this pack and a powerful being like you chose these?” He points at the kids. I smile sweetly noticing the young girl behind him watching Samson in awe. “Hi dear, it is so rude of your father to not introduce you is it not?” I smiled at her and watched as she stepped out and looked away blushing. She mumbled, “I am Emerald Cage, the Alpha’s daughter of the Blue Blood Pack.” I nodded and looked back at the Alpha. “Run along Ginger and Samson. I want you to go pack your things. After my meeting with the Alpha, we are leaving.” Ginger starts walking away as Samson fidgets. I look at him and lift his chin up. He has an uncertain look in his eyes. “Go pack, the worst thing that will happen is you have to unpack after you have thought about it right?” His eyebrows furrowed as he thought and then nodded slightly. I kissed his forehead and let him go after Ginger. I start to walk towards the pack house when a group of warriors surround me. I smile deviously and take off my cloak and toss it onto one of them. I am barefoot and wearing my special pink harem pants that have slits up the side. My top was a simple white crop top with a deep V-neck, and the straps connected at the base of my neck. After removing my black cloak all the men stared and did not stop me from entering the pack house. I smirked and laughed to myself. Following my instinct, I end up in front of the Alpha’s office after many leering stares from men and women alike. I entered and sat in his desk chair raising my feet onto his desktop. I leaned back relaxing with a sigh. As if on cue the Alpha burst through the door seething. I noticed his teeth grinding slightly which led me to stare at his features, he was handsome but not my cup of tea. Light blonde hair, a soft baby face, muddy brown eyes, he was built like a machine but so was every wolf. He slammed his door shut and I rolled my eyes. He walked over and slammed his hands down onto the desk shaking the whole office. Sighing I sit up and place my chin onto my folded hands with my elbows siting on the edge of the desk, “How can I help you today Atlas?” I smirked as I saw a vein visibly pop out of his forehead. With a clenched jaw he breathed out, “What do you want and why are you taking the kids?” I smiled,” Finally some real questions. Those two children are extremely special and will be of good use to me on my quest. Along with the fact I care about them more then this s**t-whole you call a pack. I would be able to take care and nurture them to their fullest potential.” He raised a brow as I continued to smile and keep an even tone. He narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms across his chest, “No. Now get out of my office and off my land.” My smile faltered, “Excuse you?” He spoke with venom, “You heard me witch, get out. You will not take those kids either.” Before he could turn to leave, I lunged across the desk with wild eyes giggling. I slammed him against the wall while holding him by his throat with one hand. His eyes were wide in shock and fear as I leaned into his ear,” I do not think you understand. I am taking those kids unless they say no, I will come onto this land whenever I please, and I can do much worse than kill a pathetic piece of s**t Alpha such as yourself. All I need to know is how to get to the Blue Moon and Blood Moon packs.” He was trembling as I giggled. “You have to go north from here for three days before you reach the Blue Moon border. The human city is neutral ground. It is in-between the two packs; you go northeast from here for a day to reach the Red Moon pack borders.” He was starting to turn purple as I tightened my grip. I could feel all his dark aura flooding me and it tasted delicious. I inhaled deeply thinking about Ginger and Samson. Pulling myself back I closed my eyes and refocused. Walking back to the door I look back with a gentle smile, “Thank you for your hospitality Alpha. I will stay for dinner and see what my kids want to do. I would like a room arranged for us three because no matter what we need to rest for the night.” He nodded weakly as I shut the door. Walking down the vast halls I hummed to myself. I found myself heading back outside and breathing deeply to try and cleanse my soul of all the dark aura floating around freely. Heading towards the garden I sat in the middle near a patch of moon lotus. They would glow in the moonlight. I sat down in the middle of the flowers and slowly breathed in and out. Normally I would not lose my temper, but these people are on my last nerve. As Ginger walked off to the orphanage to pack the few items, she owned, Samson headed towards his house where he was normally a ghost. Walking in he could feel the tension as he made eye contact with his dad. His dad stared at him for a moment when his eyes widened in shock. He had a constant frown after what had happened, and this was the most expression Samson had seen. Only Emerald saw him as a hero. He quickly got a glass of water and cleared his throat. Taking a deep breath, he stared into the sink and whispered, “Dad?” Looking up he saw his mom had entered the room and both had a look of disbelief. His mom suddenly had tears and she ran over hugging him tight. His dad stood and watched with confused eyes. His mom pulled him away, “How did you…” she looked to his legs, and he smiled. “The witch healed me.” She let go of me and took a step back. I looked between them both as fear stained their faces. He furrowed his brow confused, “Mom, Dad?” He reached out and they stepped back. His father took a shuttering breath and pulled his mom into his chest, “You sold your soul just so you could walk and talk! You really are a disgrace.” He was angry again and Samson’s heart shattered. His hands trembled as he clenched them into fists,” Dad I did not sell my soul she just did it because she is good.” Both his parents scoffed, and his mom shook her head silently bawling. His dad looked down at him, “You are a cursed child now! We want you to move into the pack house and know that you are permanently disowned.” He never faltered in his words to Samson. He nodded biting his lip and ran upstairs to his bedroom. He quickly grabbed all his clothes, and a picture of him and his parents. Tears streamed down his cheeks in waves. After five minutes he left the room and went to the front door. Hesitating he looked back only to see hate in his father’s eyes and fear in his mother’s. Closing his eyes tight he went off to find Ginger and Alita. After walking for ten minutes, he ran into Alita in the garden. She was sitting with her eyes closed and looked peaceful. Looking at her he found his tears slowly ebbed away. As he walked closer, he found the dull and heavy aching in his chest eased away. He sat his bag down quietly and sat cross legged in front of Alita. He watched her breath and mimicked her breaths. It was calming. After a few moments the silence was broken,” No matter what Samson, I love you. Whether you are of use to me or not. I have no one to impress and in turn neither would you.” He looked into her eyes and found only sincerity. The tears started a fresh as she held her arms out and he fell into her lap crying. Ginger had found her way to the garden and hugged them as well. Ginger stayed quiet as silent tears slid past her cheeks and down her neck. She was as strong as a seven-year-old could be. Pulling away gently she took the two kid’s hands and smiled. Standing up and pulling the kids with her, she headed towards the mess hall for dinner. Walking off the Crimson Spirit pack lands with a bunch of extra cargo was tedious but necessary. The warriors and my Beta were heading to the red room lounge with all the items I requested. I had woken up and found Zach was still sleeping peacefully. He was beautiful and yet he looked much older than what he was. It made my chest tighten knowing he could have been seriously hurt as an omega male. I watched him for a while when one of the girls came in bowing, “Alpha, the Beta Oliver would like to speak with you.” She glanced up due to my silence and saw Zach. A small smile graced her lips and she cautiously walked over. “I can look after him and get you when he wakes up Alpha?” She hesitated to touch Zach and I sighed moving him to lay comfortably on his other side. I nodded to her, she sighed in relief. I walked out of the room and found normal lights were on. A line of food and water sat at the bar and at tables all around. The sight was something to behold. Young women gushing about real clothing and trying to eat more than a few bites of food. I smiled at the sight. Noticing my Beta frowning deeply, I walked over and slapped him on the shoulder, “Thank you for the urgency Oliver, as you can see our new pack members needed some help.” Oliver narrowed his eyes and I felt uneasy. He bit his lip and looked around the room agitated. He finally mumbled out, “She is one of them…” My eyes widened in shock and then I laughed startling all the women. Standing up straight I smiled, “It certainly is your lucky day then Oliver. Why not go find her?” I urged him forward and he shook his head scrunching his nose in anger. He whispered out, “They all smell like other men, none of them probably want a mate anymore after so much betrayal…she will reject me Salvino…” He looked at me with a hint of fear in his eyes and a slight whine to his voice. I sighed and pulled Oliver into a hug. He pulled away and we stared at each other for a moment. He looked back out at all the women. I looked out as well, “Was this why you needed me?” He nodded his head again and I sighed ruffling my hair. “Oliver, just go slow.” I waved and walked away to leave him in his thoughts. As I made my way back to the room, I noticed Zach was gone. Slight panic rose in my chest, but I quickly searched the room. I left after a few minutes and checked every room nearby. Finally, I got to the room I found his mom in and sighed in relief. He was on his knees staring at the chains. He looked far off and distant. I stepped closer and noticed he was crying. I quietly spoke while inching closer, “Zach, baby boy can you hear me?”  his body stayed completely still. He seemed to be in a trance. Squatting down to his side I reached for his hands and picked them up, he was freezing. Suddenly the girl from before came out of the bathroom and smiled sadly at me. She had a rag with water and a bowl. She kneeled next to him and wiped his tears away and cleaned a few of his injuries. The blank expression that he wore started to scare me, “Why is he like this?” I looked at the girl. She mumbled out,” He thinks his mom is gone, I tried to convince him otherwise, but the shock set in quick…”  I nodded understanding a bit better now. Gently I picked him up and led him to the green room. I sat him up straight and cupped his face,” Zach, you know it’s me Salvino right? Your mom is fine, she is still here. I can take you to her but not if you are so out of it you do not see her.” Staring into his eyes I saw a small flicker of recognition. “That’s my good boy, come on and focus on me baby. It is all okay now, your mom is here and misses you so much. I know she would want to see a happy boy, right?” His head did the tiniest nod and I smiled wide. I kissed his forehead. After another twenty minutes of talking with Zach he was finally with it enough to see his mom and eat like the rest of the girls. I smiled watching Zach eat and talk with the girls so freely.   After he ate, I took him to his mom, she was exhausted, but he stayed with her holding her hand. He could not stop smiling or crying when he saw she had no chains on. It had set a piece of him free. I frowned remembering that they had been sent here by someone, some bastard gave permission to take him and his mom away to this hell. Looking at Zach and his mom I silently plead,” Goddess, I swear I will kill the person responsible for harming all these women and for purposefully harming Zach and his mom.”
