Running my fingers across some petals of blooming moonflowers I hum absentmindedly. Kneeling I pluck one from the bush and bring it to my nose. Inhaling its scent, I smile. Looking around at my garden saddened me. It felt empty, it always had. Sighing I stand again brushing off my pant legs. Walking over to my sacred tree I run my finger down the bark and open a portal. I watch a handful of my people happily going about their lives. Sending down a blessing to them I continue watching until I see some of my people who are in despair and agony. Frowning I shake my head, each one was in agony due to their own choices and forsaking me, their moon Goddess. It angered me when they asked for my help after discarding my gift of eternal mates and true love like it was nothing. Scoffing I mumble, “
