Walking back into the pack house my children stepped closer and tightened their grip. I frowned knowing that this place made them uncomfortable. I gave them a gentle squeeze and smiled. They relaxed slightly as I kept my head high and ignored all the glares. As we entered the dining hall all eyes fell to us, and the room became still with silence. I walked forward towards the head of the table and watched as people began to fidget nervously at my presence. It only made me break out into a huge grin. Finally making it to the head of the table I sat in the Alpha’s chair causing a collective gasp. I gently pulled Ginger and Samson down into the seats next to each other. They were to my right as I started to make their plates. I filled them to the brim with meat, bread, fruit, and vegetables
