The Silver fang pack

1355 Words
I sat on my bed staring across the street into the forest through my window, the sun ray cascaded across the street aiding my view, a pair of golden eyes emerged from the woods eyes fixed on the building I was in, it shifted it's gaze towards me, I jerked back from the window not wanting it to know I was staring. Derrek had kept me on constant watch in order to protect their secret until his pack trusted me enough, so yeah the pair of golden eyes outside belonged to a beta from his pack. So turns out Derrek was an Alpha to a pack of werewolves known as the silver fang pack which have existed for centuries and Derrek had been the pack alpha for more than five decades, yes you heard right five decades, werewolves age very slowly so that's why a 200 year old Alpha like Derrek still looks like a 17 year old teenager. I got out of bed and jerked on a pair of jeans I found close to my bed, it looked fine with the black T-shirt I had on. I ran down stairs trying to find something edible before I decided what to do this weekend. The Johnson were out of town, Mr Johnson finally got an offer to be a doctor although the offer was out of town so apparently they won't be around for the rest of the semester. I made a pb and j sandwich, taking a mouthful as I made my way to my room, suddenly I heard someone come in through the kitchen door, I immediately turned to see who it was as my eyes met with Derrek's, he was standing right behind me completely dressed in black wearing a leather jacket and a pair of jean trousers, he had moved with such celerity I didn't see him come in, a smile spread across his face as our eyes came in contact"good morning ken" he said, I looked at him trying to decide if I should slap that smile off his face for coming in uninvited or stare in awe wondering how he got behind me so fast "what are you doing here?" I asked as I took another mouthful and moved towards the kitchen door shutting it to prevent any more intruder, having Derrek Sinclair here is more than I can handle right now, he ignored my question and sat on the stable still staring at me "I need you to come with me" he said with a sly smile on his face, I looked at him knowing I don't have much of an option" where are we heading?" I asked, he stood and walked to the door, he opened it and stood in the doorway, he looked over his shoulder towards me"you'll see" he answered as he exited through the door moving out into the yard, I gave out a sigh as I picked up a sweater and went after him. We walked in silence, going deeper into the woods. The silence was beginning to get deafening, making me restless"where are we going to" I asked as I continued following him deeper into the forest, he ignored the question and continued moving into the forest. I decided not to ask any more questions as I know I wasn't going to get any answers from him. After a couple of minutes we emerged into some sort small town, small houses lined up on both side of the street and on the far end stood a huge Gothic house the largest around. Hold on I've been here, it's the same place Derrek had brought me when I passed out. "We're here" he said his smooth baritone voice sounding more firm than usual, we walked past the houses reaching the huge mansion as Derrek swung the front door open, we walked through the door way to find a group of people sitted in the living room, it seemed like they've been waiting but for what?. "You brought her here again" a stern voice said as I walked in, a tall man came towards us, jet black hair and silver grey eyes just like Derrek's, he looked like an older version of Derrek, He stared at me with anger flaring from those grey eyes, I tensed up a bit, fear slowly growing inside me. Derrek walked to him, that beautiful smile on his face when we were back at my house completely replaced with a stern looking face his expression cold as steel "back down Scott she's here for what we discussed about" I heard Derrek say, looking the man straight in the eye. Scott shifted his attention away from me towards Derrek his scowl frown slowly easing up, he then walked away and sat with the others. Derrek was about saying something when an older man emerged from a room at the far end, his grey hair as standing at ends, he looked like he had just woken up from sleep but he's eyes told different as he quickly assessed the situation, he looked much older than anyone else in the room. Derrek immediately stood in attention as the man joined the gathering so did Scott and the others, the man then quickly shifted his attention to me eyes trailing, reading me like a book "what's all the worry about Derrek...all this yelling just interrupted my sleep after I was up all night" he said gently rubbing the back of his neck as he shifted his attention for me and proceeded towards a sit left vacant at the centre of the room. "Father I feared I have made a grave mistake" Derrek said referencing to the old man that just came in, " This gir- human girl followed me and beta from black fang pack into a fight, I'm afraid she now knows too much of us to be left unsupervised"he said. I snickered at the mention of the name 'the black fang pack' I mean isn't a little ironic for a werewolf pack having 'fang' in its name, who comes up with these names, I struggled trying not to laugh as two of the men stared at me blankly, what was wrong with me?, I was in the room with freaking werewolves deciding my fate and I was pondering over the irony of wolf packs having 'fang' in their names. "hmnnn she's human?" the man asked, and within a moment's hesitation, Derrek finally nodded in affirmation. "I felt I had to bring her here as soon as poss..."he trailed of staring at the old man who fell silent eyeing me as if trying to pry something valuable of my mind."You did well bringing her here, indeed she need to be taken care"the old man said still eyeing me, the mere mention of the phrase "taken care of" send chills down my spine quickly clearing any form of fun I had in all this. " I promise I won't say a thing" I said my voice trembling into a pleading tone. Silence filled the room, and I regretted my words the moment they left my lips. I most likely wasn’t helping my situation, but I had to do my best to get me out of whatever situation that might be. I was about saying something unintelligible when Derrek cut me off "Alpha Reed I fully understand the seriousness of the situation and I'll take full responsibility for this mishap, but I plead she is made not to suffer" he said still referencing to the old man. The old man stared into space for a while then shut his eye as though he was thinking"considering you're the commanding alpha of our pack I'll let you decide her fate" the man finally replied, he then turned to me staring sternly "but I must warn you human one word about this to anybody and I'll personally make sure your body won't be found with any reasonable recognition of your former self". I nodded mutely in affirmation, his grey eyes striking fear into my eyes. I definitely have have stepped crossed to deep into crazy this time.
