Chapter 2: Something's strange.

The bell just rang, which means it's time to go home.
My whole day went along just fine. My morning was just a little creepy, or maybe I'm just overreacting earlier?
Nothing happens to me, you know. Aside from the misjudgment earlier, nothing happens. I think it was just my keen instinct.
I commute on a bus. Nothing happened. I walked home, nothing happened.
Now I'm in front of our house. Safe and sound..
"I'm home. Luna, are you there?" I searched for Luna as I put down all my things and changed my clothes into a normal ones.
I need to tell him about the weekend outing and ask for her permission so I can come.
But I think she's taking overtime at work. She usually does this. She's working hard.
I walk to her room to confirm it, and she's not really there. But something caught my eye; her bag is on the bed.
It means she already got home. Did she go out to buy something?
That's weird. She won't go out without her bag. Especially her wallet, it's still here!
Did something happen to her? Damn, this is making me worry.
I was about to get my stuff and go outside to look for her, but she's already standing in front of her door, looking at me intensely.
"You scared me! Where have you been?" I approached her, just then, I realized her dirty footsteps from behind. She looks pretty messy, and there are a few bruises on her arm and shoulders. Come think of it; it seems like she came from a muddy place.
"Luna? Hey, what happened to you?" I shook her body to make her came back to reality.
"O-oh, I just went somewhere near. It's not that important. Have you eaten yet?" She did snap from reality, and her eyes also changed from earlier. It's like coming home with mud and bruises all over your body is a normal thing these days.
"I just got home. But where have you been? You didn't even take your wallet with you; that's new.
"Why are you so nosy? I told you it's nothing, didn't I!?" I got frightened by her sudden increase of voice.
It's the first time she shouts at me.
It looks like she realized what she just did because she apologizes immediately.
"I'm sorry, Stella. I didn't mean to shout, and I'm just tired. Now, go to your room first. I'll call you when the food is ready. I need to take a shower first." I nodded as a response.
I'm really shocked at what just happened. Right now, I'm not exaggerating. Everything is so strange.
Luna, returning home with messy, muddy, and crumpled clothes. I didn't know she can explode like that.
Something is not right.
Maybe her work is not going well?
I'm in the middle of thinking about the possible reasons when Luna called me. When I came to our kitchen, she already prepared the food. And she looks alright now.
But there's really something wrong with her.
She cooked Butter Garlic Shrimp for our dinner. Did she forget that I'm allergic to shrimps?
I looked at her. She's eating peacefully. It's like this is just a normal dinner time to us.
I initiated a conversation.
"How's work? Are you alright? Is there any problem there?" I asked. I'm really worried about her.
"What's the matter? My work is going pretty well these days. Why do you ask? Do you perhaps, need money?" She replied with her mouth still chewing food.
She's about to get her wallet when I stopped her.
"No, I'm just worried about you. It seems like something is going on with you. I'm just concerned." I sincerely said.
"Thanks for that, but there's really nothing wrong. You should look over yourself. Focus on more on your study" She smiled at me innocently.
Maybe it's too personal, so she doesn't want to tell me? What could it be?
“Schools is great. I don't have any problems yet. Everything is doing good,”
“Oh, and by the way, Can I go out with my friends?” I added.
“Who are you going out with?” Luna asked.
“Lyn invited me. They were planning a beach outing. I know it was so sudden but we don't have any schedule at school, so I told her I'll come if you let me.”
“Sure, why not? You guys deserved it. A little rest won't hurt. Have fun!” She then give me a money which I couldn't refuse. Even if I did, she'll just sneak in my room and secretly put it in my bag.
“Im going to sleep first. We will leave early tomorrow. Lyn said we need to by things we needed for the outing.
“Sleep tight. Be careful on your way out. And if something happens, be brave. But don't let them see what's inside you, okay?” Luna is as usual, worried. But just like earlier, something is not right.
“Don't worry, we can borrow some strength to the guys. And if something not expected happens, I can just call you right? You'll be there right?” I left out a silly laugh.
But Luna didn't respond. She just stared at me blankly with a bit of sadness in her eyes.
“What's the matter? Luna?” I gently caressed her face.
“It's just that, I haven't seen you laugh for a while. Always smile like that, the beauty in you stands more. Sleep well and have fun with your friends.” She gave me a smile to comfort my confused soul.
I enter my room and continued what I was doing earlier.
Why do I suddenly had a bad day? Everything is so sudden, everything is new to me.
I looked at my window, I already closed it but why do I feel like somebody's watching me?
I guess im really tired. Im already hallucinating things.
I hope everything is really fine.
