Chapter 20

Belle guided me in my bed.

They provide us things we need for our everyday life. Clothes, appliances, and utensils.

Now that I have seen the whole room, it's quite huge for two people. It can fit 5 people perfectly and we'll still have more space.

It's spacious and airy. It's like a 5 star hotel but it's free. How cool is that?

We have our spacious living room, two shower room and toilets, and a kitchen with our dining table in it.

We don't have our own bedrooms, our bed is in the living room but it's not crowded at all. In fact, we still have space for another bed.

“Here's your uniforms, I already got mine and it's on my cabinet with my other clothes. You also have yours. Here, this uniform is for our regular class,” She handed me a white blouse with a collar and a black neck tie and a black skirt.

“And this one is for our physical class, where we can used our potencia without restrictions. It's the most exciting subject, trust me.” This time, she handed me a white T-shirt and a black pants. It's our P.E uniform but we won't do normal exercises with it.

“We still have one more uniform we need. They'll gave it to us tomorrow, at the welcome ceremony. A robe to identify what section we belong. It was just a small cape but it's very cool.” She is filled with informations I didn't know.

A robe for uniform? That's new.

Belle also informed me that usually, we'll have battle combats in our physical class.

“What kind of battle combats?” I asked.

“We'll fight each other. Every student are required to join this class. It's like our major subject. This is where they'll base our marks. So if you want to pass, fight well.” She explained.

“They want to us, students, to harm each other? That's a bit cruel.”

“Injuries are inevitable. But that's how we learned. Mistakes makes us stronger.”

Well, that's true.

“Also, don't worry about the injuries. We have the best healer here, Mr. Bony. His potencia can heal a certain bruise within a second, but it depends on how deep and bad it is. So when the time comes where we fight, don't limit your potencia. You can explode however you want because Mr. Bony can handle it.”

She's very enthusiastic in this topic. She love fighting that bad?

Come to think of it, I haven't seen nor asked her potencia. And I doubt that she knows mine too.

“Speaking of potencia, I haven't asked what's yours. So?” I'm currently fixing my clothes while she's in the kitchen organizing the plates and utensils.

“Oh, that's right. My isn't that special because I can't use it through physical, but I love it because I can explore and learn a lot of things with it.”

This time I fixed my bed as I listened to her while she's still in the kitchen.

“I can collect information in things if I touched it and smell it. It became very useful to me because I was surrounded with lies at my previous place.” I glanced at her, she didn't have any expression in her eyes. It's blank again.

Her potencia is very useful and friendly. A single information can't harm a person badly.

“I'm kind of envy with yours. Maybe if I had that instead of air, I won't get easily fooled. All I did was to harm people accidentally.” I heavy sigh came out from me.

“Would you still want this ability if you find out that not all informations are worth discovering? Some are need to be buried deep down so no one can see it. But I did.” Belle whispered slowly and I didn't hear her clearly.

I think she lower her voice in purpose so I won't hear it.

“What would you want to eat, Stella? I'll cook” I walked to the kitchen and sat on the table so I can see what Belle's doing.

The kitchen is well organized now. So clean and neat. You won't get tired cooking if your kitchen is as clean as this.

“You can decide, you're the one who'll cook. I can eat anything, but not shrimps because I'm allergic.” I said.

“You're allergic to shrimps? Oh, you just missed the most delicious dish in the water. Too bad. Don't worry, there's still plenty of food to try. But not as tasty as the shrimps.” She holds my hand and acted sorrowful while wiping the imaginary tears in the side of her eyes.

Belle is a good actress, indeed.

“But aren't they the cockroaches of the sea? Shrimps are scavengers, just like cockroaches. So I'm very thankful that I'm allergic.” I teased her a bit that made her threw my hands back at me.

“You just spoiled the mood. Anyway, I don't care. Be it cockroaches of the sea or what, the only important thing here is that it's delicious.”

We both joyce in laughter.

“What about Mac N' cheese? You're not lactose intolerant aren't you?” She asked.

They have that here? Wow. It really feels like I'm still in Earth.

“It's my favorite actually.”

I saw her eyes sparkled a little bit.

“Now we're talking. It's also my favorite. Now, just sit there patiently and let me cook it for us.” She started to gather ingredients from the refrigerator.

“You touched my hands earlier, what informations do you see in me?” I asked out of the blue.

“Don't be silly, I'm still not powerful to do that. I can only used it in non living things right now. But I think in a couple of months, if I study eagerly, I will able to use it on people too.” She's still focused on slicing bacons while waiting for the water to boil.

Well I think I'm saved. What will happen if she saw my real life? It's all good for now, I just need to finished my mission before she could learn how to do it.

“Hey, what are you thinking so deep that made you spaced out?” I snapped back out in reality.

I didn't realized that I started to dive in my thoughts.

“It's nothing. I'm always like this.” I looked at the table and I saw the beautiful Mac N' Cheese.

She's already done cooking. That's so fast.

“Here, dig in. You were so focused on your thoughts that you didn't noticed me filling up your plate.” She sat on the chair in front of me and started eating.

I helped myself and as I thank her for the food.

“It's so good. Very different on how I cooked it. What's your recipe?” I eat up continuously.

“Well, it's not exactly my recipe. It's an instant Mac N' Cheese. It's my favorite brand, here.” She handed me the plastic with the brand on it.

So instant food is also a trend here? I won't be surprised if there's also ramen here.

“Oh and by the way, do you have something to do after we eat? Do you want to come with me?” Belle asked.

I don't really have something to do yet.

“Where?”

“I planned on walking around the school, just to be familiar with it so we won't get lost. This school is probably the largest I've ever seen. So let's look around.”

She has a point. It's the best to be familiar with your surrounding so we won't get lost.

“Okay, I'm in.”

After we finished eating and I insisted on washing the dishes.

When I finished, I go to the living room to see Belle. She took a bag and started to gather ‘things we might need’, she said.

“Flashlight, in case we need light. It's almost evening. Water, in case we feel thirsty. These two things are very important.”

“Are we all set?”

“I think yes. So, let's go? Let's just stick with each other because we might get lost on our way. That's very stupid, I know. But it's possible.”

She's right. But that won't happen to us because I have my ability.

“No need to worry about getting lost, I can use air to guide and give us directions.”

“That's cool!”

We took our step to our door and a hallway made of pillar waved at us. I think this building is where the students stay.

We walked wherever our feet take us, and we made it to the ground.

Our room is on the 5rd floor of the building and there's no elevator so we used the stairs.

I'm relieved we're going down so it's less tiring. The problem later is when we go back to our room. I can't imagine how hard it is. It's like climbing a high mountain. Very challenging.

There are plenty of students down here, probably the same reasons as our, walking around. But some of them already wore their uniform and a robe, that means they're not a newcomer.

“So, where will we go first?” Belle is like a pirate leader, high spirited to discover a new chest full golds.

A huge arena from a far caught my eye. I requested to go there first.

The whole school has a 4 tall buildings that formed a rectangle in bird's eye view. At the center is a very wide open court.

“This is where students gathered in every event.” Belle explained every things she touched.

“As you can see, the school has 4 buildings. The building where we stayed are called Sanctuary, it's in the left side. That building on the right side is called Errai, that building is the senior's classrooms. At the front is called Gamma, that's the junior's classrooms. And at the rear side is the Polaris, the dominant building. It's the largest among all, right? And at the back of it is the Arena used for battle combats. Then the rest is just a forest full of magical plants. So let's go to the Polaris building, the way to the Arena is located there.” Everything she said is very detailed.

The style of other buildings is very modern but when we got to the largest building, it looks vintage. It's obviously the oldest one and they didn't bother to renovate it like the others. Also the atmosphere here is very different than the others.

We continued walking until we reached the back of the building polaris. There's a two doors there. The large one is the door to the Arena and the other one, the small one is locked.

“If you touch this door, would you know what's inside? I'm just curious.” I asked Belle who's about to go to the Arena.

She stopped midway and walked near me. We both glanced at the tiny door.

“It's probably a basement but let's try it anyway.”

Belle brushed her hand on the doorknob but the moment her fingertips touched the metal, she immediately took it back.

“What is it? Is everything alright?” I gently caressed her shoulder to calm her.

“I didn't see anything. It's just black and painful.” I guided Belle on our way to the Arena.

I told her we can just go back to our room and rest but she insisted to go on.

“We made it this far, let's just proceed to the Arena. It's literally behind us. This is just a mild headache, don't mind me.”

What's inside of that door? Why is it locked? And why Belle didn't saw anything and even caused her headaches?

“Hey, we're here. Wow, it's my first time seeing this famous Arena. I can't wait to fight here.” Belle suddenly forgot her head is aching. She immediately ran inside. Very thrilled by the famous Battle Arena.

I ran after her and I saw her standing inside, her jaw dropped slightly with her eyes as shiny as the stars at night. My heart melts. I never knew that Belle could make this kind of expression.

We're not the only students here, in fact there's quite a lot of us. Like the other's do, we sat on the closest bleacher from the entrance.

“It feels way more better than the pictures. I can feel butterflies dancing in my stomach. This, I can't explain it.” She's expressing her love.

“Hey, do you know that there's a rumor going around here? My roommate just told be this unbelievable truth.” A group of students came and took the seats above us.

“What rumor? That dungeon thingy? You seriously believed that? That's impossible.”

“But what if it's true? I saw a small door on our way here, but it's locked. I think it's the door to the dungeon. Man, I'm curious about it.” They're talking about something.

If I heard it clearly, they said that there's a dungeon under the Polaris building.

“Curiosity killed the cat.”

“But satisfaction brings it back.”

“If you want to see it, go for it yourself. But if a Professor caught you, the detention room will be your shelter.”

“Nah, I'm aware of that. I just can't help thinking about it.”

We stay there for almost an hour. It's getting dark so decided to go back.

Belle also informed me about the time rules. Students have curfew. Before 7:00 pm, we must be already inside our own rooms. All student's are not allowed to go outside. If they are caught by the Reapers, detention will welcome them.

It's already 6:30 pm so we hurried to go back.
