22 When the moon was at its highest, we gave up the beautiful spot between the purple flowers. The magic called and with regret, we left the field behind. With the ground moist from dew, our powerful paws slammed into the dirt as we ran back to the walls surrounding the city. With the people asleep, we slipped through the gates, hiding in the shadows of the night. We flashed past the guards, too quick for them to even notice the whirlwind of fur.
