Surprised and Hopeful

Rosilia POV

Packing my bag after setting my egg on my bed, perched on pillows so they don't move. Packing my most casual clothes along with one of my favorite dresses. Deep red and orange dress with black accents. Grabbing my gold bracelets that jingle that makes the dress complete, along with my protection charm and toe ring of regeneration just in case of something bad happening. Thinking back to the office where my father and Alderon were setting up arrangements to travel to countries by teleportation. Feeling scared of this. Will I find him before my 16th birthday or will some random dragon try to claim me as their own?

An overwhelming sensation of needing a stress relief, I sat on my bed with my bag on the ground next to it. Curling up to my egg, I close my eyes knowing I leave early in the morning. Sleep takes over my body slowly. As if opening my eyes back in his room was the only piece I could do was calm myself. Sitting up on the bed, I looked around and realized I was back in his room. Getting off the bed and looking at the window, it was almost night where he lives. In the distance was a beautiful city with a huge river next to the edge of it. Looking farther in the distance, I also saw a dessert with trees lining the side closets to me. But looking closer, I saw a slight purple accent on the city as it protected.. Looking at the ground, I saw the purple line wrap around the building. What is that?! Where the hell is this place? Walking over to his desk, I see there is a little piece of paper under the matt. Pulling it out, I read.

How can I escape?

*Kill my master, Take everything I've earned and break my mother out.

*Go to the farthest kingdom from Gullington.

*Find Rosilia.

*Keep them both safe from them.

Escape?! Master? Is he a slave? I mean I've heard of it, still a thing in some countries, but only from rulers. Who is his master? What can I do to help him?! Tucking the piece of paper back under the matt, I looked around the room hoping I would find a clue, but seeing there was not much in there, I looked in his dresser for secret drawers in all the items in the room. Nothing! Are you serious? Frustrated, I had an idea what if I left the room and snuck around. Walking to the door and opening it and look around. I can help hopefully without being caught.

Dractavious POV

Planning everything carefully. With my master thinking once he is done using me for his science experiment he'll get all the power he wants by threatening my mother. Being able to see her once a week has been helping me and her plan this. Just turning 20 changed the game. I had started to see my mate at night and every day I couldn't stop worrying about spending every day with her. Worrying about her yet keeping a straight cold face around my master was extremely hard. Let alone if they found out I had started to see her. In his lab he was testing how my blood along with the next experiment would react to it and hoping that it would work to the exact reaction he was hoping for. God I hate this waiting crap. "Mom. Can you hear me?" " Yeah, It's getting better to hear you each time." "Good, that is great. I'll get you out of here soon mama..I promise. They're trying to boost my power by giving me some gem's power.. It's like they're trying to make me a god or something." "Oh no... You could die. I know that's why we're going to escape this week. They plan to do it by the end of the week." "Okay, I'll wait for your word.I love you son." She says into my mind. "I love you too mama." I reply before they realize I've been talking to someone in my head. I used to get wiped every time I would speak to my mom in the mindlink due to her being there captive and I was there perfect experiment. "Mutt, Come here." I say without any anger or emotion. "Sit we need to do our weekly blood draw." I just nod my head. Sitting on the uncomfortable chair, they hook everything all together again and get a clean needle out. Tying the band around my bicep, I try not to tense up, otherwise the needle will just pinch my muscles. "Good there it is." The assistant says "Now it'll come out smoothly." Closing my eyes and reopening them, I look towards the door, to the face that calls my soul looking in shocked. She looks angry at the assistant. Then to my master. Oh no. Trying to act as if she was not there was the hardest thing I could ever do. "All done." "Okay" said I, grabbing the cotton ball and keeping pressure. "Why don't you take the rest of the day too yourself. You know the rules though. Stay within the boundaries, otherwise you know the price." I nodded, understanding my mom would die within minutes of them finding out. Getting out of the chair, they handed me an apple. I take it and take a bite, putting the pill in the side of my mouth. Chewing and leaving the room while making my way to my room, I go straight into my bathroom and spit it out into the toilet and throw the apple out. "So why are you giving them your blood are you being forced to? Are you being held captive here? What is this about?" She says behind me. I smirk to myself. She's smart and serious. Chuckling, I said "Well, aren't you great at observation?" I smiled, turning around to face her holding the paper I knew she had found. "Well, at least you don't have to worry about the mating pull bullshit, of crazy." She said, as if, pissed off. "The what?" I asked confused. "Well apparently being a dragon and as soon as I turn 16 and don't mate to you in a month I'll go crazy and want to get laid as if my life depended on it and mate to anyone." She says like she needed to get it off her chest. Also, shocked that's what's going to happen if she doesn't find me soon. "Well I'll just have to find you then." I said, pulling her into my chest as she clings to me like her life depends on it. "I hope so...." I pick her up and carry her to the bed and curling up to her I gently pull her to me. As her eyes close, I realize this is how I've seen her every time she shows up in my dreams. Kissing her head, I lay next to her and slept. "I will be Roslia, soon." "Call me Rosi.... Everyone does." I smile at her with her mumbling sleep. "Okay, Rosi."

Rosilia POV

Waking up, it was still dark outside but I got out of bed to turn my light on. I Look at my bed... I saw something very unexpected....The egg..My heart dropped.. DID I CRUSH IT!!!!!!!"Oh god Serena! Serene, are you okay!?" I saw the shell in the bed and pieces around the blankets I was in... shell everywhere. Thinking about the worst of accidentally killing the babies, I looked at my pillow. Relaxing, I saw two beautiful baby dragons curled up next to where my head was. "Serena? Serene? I gently touch them. Feeling them pur under my palms with the smooth scales against me. Looking up from their nap, they crawled closer to me. "Hi mummy. Your very pretty," Serena says. She has deep blue scales with light yellow and baby blue on her wings and her talons are white, while her eyes are bright purple. "Serena."I say, looking at her, knowing, letting her crawl onto my shoulders. "Serene." I look at the other little one next to my left arm. Her scales are deep purple with light blue wings with white-tipped talons, her eyes bright yellow with purple flakes in them. "You are beautiful, both of you," I said quietly. Having Serena wrap her tail around my arm and laying her head behind my head and looking through my hair on the other side. While Serene decided to she wanted to be picked up. "Hmm, now that you guys have hatched I have to pack blankets for each of you." Getting up and setting Serene down for a second. I went to the closet and found 3 big scarves that were like a blanket but small enough for traveling, each in a different color. "Green, black or red?" I asked, bringing the blankets out of the closet. "I call red!" Serene says with happy wiggles. "Okay, I'll take the green one." Serena says "I will not say no to green." Checking the sunrise I see it's just about peaking. "Man we have to leave soon. "I'll be right back I just need to change my clothes." Serene and Serena nod and curl up next to each other again so they can stay warm. Walking back into the closet, I changed into a tan shirt with brown leather pants along with my leather armor and gauntlets, along with leather boots that were comfortable just in case we walked for a long distance. Grabbing my hair ties, which are leather strips, I walked out to finish packing to go. "Okay, how should we do this so no one is suspicious of you both being my dragons?" "I mean you could just keep us in the same spot, since we don't like to be separated. Like a sling thingy." Putting my hand up to my mouth. "Idea!" I grab my green scarf and wrap it around my waist and tie it around my neck. "Try climbing into it?" I suggested. Serena's eyes widened in excitement. She crawls up my arm while serene does on the other side. I pull the scarf open as they each crawl in one at a time. "It's perfect! It's like when we were in the egg." "Yeah, We'll be fine and then when we're alone we can play and cuddle up to you." Smiling, I rub my hand against them and nodded. Throwing on a jacket and backpack, I headed outside.

Walking downstairs, I found no one around. As I make my way to the front I see everyone of the staff members that I've grown up with trying not to cry. My father and Mother both standing at the end with Alderon and Ostia next to one another. "We'll take care of her." "I know, old friend." My dad says "I expect you home at the latest of two months." I nodded "I'll try." Looking at Alderon he smiles and he notices the egg missing. "Where's the egg?!" He says confused and shocked. "It hatched... It's sleeping in my scarf." I said, pointing and rubbing it with my spare hand. Feeling them wiggle around to stay comfy was a little amusing. He smiles. "Okay, let's get going." "Oh Rosilia! Take this and keep it safe." My dad hands me a big bag that jingles and catches the attention of Serena as she sticks her little head to look out. "Its a lot I know. I just don't want my little girl having trouble when she leaves." I took it from him not expecting it to weigh a good amount. "Thats a bit, heafty. How much is in it?" "Well, it's a tiny bag of holding and it only carries money. It has gold pieces in the main part, but the left compartment has silver and the right has copper." My eyes widened. "Wait, isn't this yours from when you traveled?" He smiled. "Yes, I had almost forgotten about it. It also has everything that I earned on them, so I haven't touched it in years." "Dad, isn't this too much?" He shakes his head. "Not for my little fireball. Nothing is too much for you." "If you say so dad." Hugging him one last time, it was time for my adventure of finding Dracus and seeing if I could free him. Walking towards the station we use for teleportation, it looks huge. It's at the seaside, so it's closer to the land. It has a certain range and teleporting more than two times a day can really hurt a person. "So what's going on with you? You seem on edge, Rosi," Ostia says while holding her baby with a backpack on as well, "I was thinking of last night.. I saw him again but when I got there I wanted to figure out where he was, but I learned he was either a slave or owed someone. All I know is he wanted to escape but I didn't have long till I was pulled away again." "Was there anywhere near him that we could try and find him?" Wait what was that name..It was like escape galliot, Gallin... Arghhh. "I think it was Gallin.. No It starts with a g,...." "Gallington?" Alderon asked "THAT'S IT!" "Ohhh okay...well" Alderon looks at Ostia.. "That's too long for both of us to be gone.. My love staying here watching over the babies. I'll send mail once a week when I can." He kissed her gently as if it was his last time. "Fine. But I will go next time."She smiles cheekily at him. "Deal." Holding their heads together and he kisses his little boy's head as he coo's at him..."I'll be back Alick. Wait for papa, and watch your mum for me." As he waved off his family, we entered the station. "This will be fun. Teleporting twice a day is going to be a blast." He said "What do you mean?" I asked "Gallington is on the other side of the continent." "Would explain the daylight." I said, shrugging my shoulders.

The station was moving like crazy. People in and out of places unknown to me. But just visiting due to a special kind of permission to be here. Being careful not to let in any hunters because of the dragons is a number one priority. Looking at the screen, I wonder which one of the teleports we'll be taking. "Alerdon, what one are we taking?" "Hentuk. It's one of my favorite places to visit and it's the closest to us. Once we get there, we can't teleport for a few hours for motion sickness reasons." "Hmm cool. Will the babies be okay?" I asked as Serene peaked out, looking around. "Yes, trust me, they'll be fine. It gets easier each time."He says, walking up to the teller. He looks as bored as a house cat without a mouse to chase. "Welcome to The isle station how can I help you today?" He says in a monotone, annoyed voice."Hi, we would like to go to Hentuk." "How many traveling?" He says getting a little book out. "Umm. Two adults and two children." He looks at me. "Are they in your scarf?" "Umm yes."I say, trying not to bite my lip, but I lift a butt up so as to keep them secure. "If there on your person it's only two people." "Oh okay so two tickets." "Four gold please." Getting into my tiny bag I tied to my waist my dad gave me it gets lighter when I walk but picking it up it's heavy. I grabbed four gold, handed us two tickets. "Go to the left door and go straight to the back they'll help you both into the chamber. But keep your teleport key on you, otherwise you can't travel without buying a new one." He says, handing us both little keys with red rubies on chains. "Thank you!" I wave at him, walking past on Alderon's tail. "Okay, the left door." As we get there I put the key over my head and keep it tucked in till we reach it. Walking into the left door, we entered a room with a guard. Alderon shows him his key along with another that was silver and a purple stone in it. "Yes sir. I will set it for Hentuk right his way." He waves for me to walk above the glowing stone with spell writing on it. As it starts to glow, a light blue, Alderon steps up on it and stands close. "Happy thoughts....happy thoughts." He whispers to himself. "It doesn't seem so bad.." Serene says. "I don't know Serene I don't like this feeling." Serena says. "Too late now girls. It's almost time for it to start." As it starts to glow brighter, I close my eyes as my stomach starts to churn and get the feeling as if I'll puke. Good thing I haven't eaten yet. "Good luck on your journey guys." The guard says with a smile and waves. As everything starts to disappear and vanish.

Reappearing in a place very unfamiliar, I felt as if I was going to puke."About the bad.... That was horrible." "Agreed." The girls agreed with that. Holding my stomach, a young woman approached us. She waved a stick in front of my face, calming my stomach. "First time sweetie?" "Yup" I said. Looking over seeing Alderon with the same look as I. "God I hate this kind of travel." He says a little green in the face. I chuckled. "Fierce warrior dragon gets sick when teleporting hmm...interesting." I said, teasing him. "Just because we're not home doesn't mean I won't kick your butt." "Good luck I do train almost every day." I smirked. Standing up was a little rough without being able to hold my stomach but holding the girls helped a little bit. Alderon gently grabs my shoulder to steady himself from his awkward crouch pose. "Good there?" "Yup." Following the lady out of the room we enter a giant room bigger than our station back home. The sunshining right through the big glass windows and pants everywhere with someone greeting everyone coming out saying, "Hi welcome to Hentuk. Enjoy your stay!" Giving her our tickets she hands us a flyer of the most popular stays and locations food restaurants. Placing the flyer in my pack I gently make sure everything is tied tightly due to thieves.

Walking out we were greeted with a warm gentle breeze and the sun shining onto our face. "This is where I met Ostia." Alderon said with a smile. Looking out to beach it was beautiful. With big spiky trees and tons of people rest in the shade or sunbathing. Walking out I take my pack off and take my heavy jacket off and tucking it into the bag of holding of my own. I bought it from a trader. Dad always thought it was a regular pack, but it can even hold live animals. Also, this way we don't have to worry about a place to stay. Smiling at Alderon. He starts walking next to me on a busy street with tons of food shops along with a bakery and blacksmiths shop which had really cool swords and tools. But for this adventure I brought a portable sword handle that will reappear when I press my thumb into the stone. Best purchase I have ever made. Looking at the pocket of my pants. We head towards a little cafe to sit down and relax for a bit. "Soo. What's the plan?" I ask. Walking into the cafe it wasn't as busy as the street was but looking at the menu it was really cool. Alderon and I order and grab our drinks and sit down to wait for our food at the window. "Well, the plan is to eat and get a map to where we have to go. Gallington is a long way from here and even teleporting is going to be rough if we do it too often." "So how do we get there then?" I ask a little scared and confused. "Well, we could always fly but with having hunters out here it's more dangerous... With you being new to all of this. I think we should travel by horse. We get two horses at the edge of town we can get past three towns a day for a good week we could make it to Rimek. They could teleport us to a town closer to Gallington. But then we'd be on foot or flight." He says, "So where do we get a map?" I asked right as our server drops off the food. "Sorry to interrupt your conversation but I know where to get a map. Down the street is a tiny book shop and the owner has a few maps." "Hmm Thank you Ma'am." Alderon said with bowing his head in respect. She blushes and walks back behind the counter. Lifting my eyebrow at him and smirk. "What?" He asked with holding his drink to his lips. "Making ladies blush on the first day without Ostia. Mm?" I giggle He rolls his eyes. "She knows I only has eyes for her, and I would never willingly." I laugh "Uh huh ok. Well Mr. Ladies man we'll find horses in after eating our food." I said with a smirk as he groans in annoyance. "Are you going to be like this the entire time?" "Yup!" I laugh "No wonder my wife loves you. "He grumbles while eating his food.

After awhile of eating and joking around we start to make our way to the book shop as we enter a bell rings. "Welcome to Hallen's Bookshop." We hear from the left side of the rows of books. Walking towards the voice was I see a man mid 20's with a red shirt and brown vest on with dirty blonde hair putting up a green and blue away on a shelf. "Hi. I was wondering if you sold any maps?" I ask trying not to startle the nice man. Without meaning to he jumps sky high without dropping a book from his arms. "Hi sorry I easily jump scare. Hmm Maps. Ahh I do sell some let me look by the front." He said putting some of the books down on a cart next to him. Walking past me I could smell he smelled like chestnuts and lavender. But something told me to keep my guard up. Bending behind the cash register he grabs a rolled piece of paper and looks me dead in the eyes. "Well, aren't you something else. Your eyes are like a dragons." He says coldly. "Umm thanks.. they've always been like this. But how much for the map?" "hmmm idk I would say 20 gold pieces." That's is a lot of money! "What the hell price is that!" "Mum I don't like how his energy feels off." "I know I'll deal with him if need." "Fine. But it better be a good map." I say a little angry Pulling out 20 from my tiny bag on my hip and almost slam it on the counter. "Good having business with you." He says coldly handing me it. I open it slightly to see if it is a map and it is. "Have a good day and enjoy the city." He says with a smile as Alderon and I leave. "He was creepy." "Trust me with your eyes people may be a little rude at times." "People need some damn manners!" I said annoyed. "Alright it's okay let's go get us two horses." "Yeah...horses.."
