Chapter 7: Unknown

964 Words
Getting that close to the border of Autumn Moon for the second time today was a stupid plan but I had to be near her. After talking to her and hearing her sweet voice in my head it was impossible for me to stay away and I’m so glad I didn’t.  My goddess she looks just like her mother did. Long black hair just like hers and those green eyes that look like two beautiful emeralds reflecting back at you. Waiting was going to be a challenge but I’ve waited years for her and I didn’t come this far for my desires to ruin the plan. Robert is going to rue the day that he took everything from me. The pack should have been mine and the life he led should have been mine and though I was too late for Eva but I won’t miss out on his daughter. If I ever wanted the life I was meant to have with her I had to take her away. The first attempt at taking his family from him may not have gone the way I’d hoped but that mistake wouldn’t be made twice. It was unfortunate that Eva did not survive. She was given the choice to come willingly and be the rogue packs Luna and she chose wrong. She screamed for Robert to help her.. When my father professed his love for her she said she loved Robert and would never betray him by rejecting him and leaving. Father lost it after that. He injected her with the poison that was intended for the children. After she fell to the ground instantly weak from the amount of wolfsbane in her system he went in search of her kids. Since he used the weapon that was meant to kill them he decided to just snap their necks. Her two sons were nowhere to be found but laying in her bed sound asleep he found their daughter. She slept so peacefully, cuddling a little stuffed bear. He told me how even then she looked just like Eva did at her age and that's when it clicked for me. Fathers plan could still work, Robert would sit back and watch as I took everything from him. It brought me such joy to know he would watch as his daughter gave herself up to me and as I marked her.  My whole plan was contingent on being able to move freely between pack lands without being detected. Still I hated having to leave even for a couple minutes but I had a meeting with my witch and Ivy made it possible for me to remain a ghost so I don’t intend on missing it. Her use of dark magic was unlike any witch I've ever seen. Getting cast out of her coven fueled her rage and in the end funneled her into her powers. The coven she belonged to practiced earth magic pulling their power from nature and their ancestors. Long before her time a young witch in her coven began using dark magic in secret. It magnified her powers but also poisoned her mind. She eventually lost her mind because she wasn’t strong enough to contain the magic. She laid waste to over half of the coven when they went to stop her. The elders were able to put her down but not after all the damage was done. She had been stealing powerful young witches and sacrificing them. The elders were afraid of a repeat so they created a spell that would let them know if anyone within the coven was using dark magic. When they found out about Ivy they banished her on the spot. Father meeting her right after that was nothing short of fate. They struck up a little deal and decided to help each other out. After I came of age the deal extended to me. When they cast her out they never heard her side of the story. She was furious about it and rightly so it was decided, she’ll get back at her coven and I'll get Valerie and the joy of watching Silver Fang turn to ash. I reached the little cottage that Ivy had set up for herself.  “I hope the reason I'm here is a good one. You’re taking time away from my mate.” I spat. Even though I wouldn’t miss our little meetings for anything doesn’t mean I have to pretend to be happy about being here.  “As if I'd bring you here for something that wasn’t important.” she sneered, rolling her eyes in the process. How I wished I could pluck them out and shove them down her throat. BUT I need her so my delicious little idea would have to wait. I smiled thinking about all the devious things I  would do to her if she continued with her attitude. For now I’ll play nicely though, lucky her. Normally anyone who talked to me in such a way would be separated from one of their limbs or worse. I’ve done it so many times that no one even dared think to speak to me that way but not Ivy. She could care less that I could snap her neck like a twig in seconds. That is one of the things I truly admire about her. She is 4’1”, 145 pounds and not scared a lick about the fact that I could separate her head from her body without breaking a sweat. As good as she was at her job, my patience was growing thin. I have plans to finalize so I can go for Valerie sooner rather than later. She was already taking up too much of it. “Well get on with it!” I yelled.
