I woke up to the smell of breakfast being made and little feet running through the house. I didn’t have to get up to know that the sound of those feet were my 5 year old son, Kal. He’s been getting up early since we got back home from Autumn Moon. I’m surprised with how loud he stomps through the house that he isn’t waking up Lori, his baby sister. The first week or so he said he was waiting to see Aunt Val run by for her morning run. Explaining to him that she wasn’t going to be around for a while went as well as expected. Val has been his favorite aunt, well his only aunt, since he was born. She’s an intricate part of his day and he misses her. We share that sentiment.. I miss her too.
