When I saw the sad look on Angel's face, my heart broke. That's why I didn't want to show her just yet, especially since the doctor advised me to try to keep her happy during this difficult time.
But I fear I'm only making her mood worse. I don't know what to do, even though I can see the determination in Angel's eyes; she won't rest until she gets answers to the questions she's been asking me.
I don't want her to know yet that she lost the pregnancy and that she won't be able to conceive again. I can't even imagine how devastating that would be for her.
All I can do is keep this secret between me, Zachary, and Winnie, bearing the sadness alone while shielding her from it.
