After her younger children were fetched back home from their private school, which was not the same school that Arden attended, Mrs. Palmer had immediately taken them with her to her own parents’ house. Even if they were still young and Arden was their own brother, why would she risk having them under the same roof as an omega? The thought of it alone was sickening. Upon them hearing about what was going on, her parents’ reactions were no better than hers. “We told you,” her mother said with a deep frown of dismay. “Choosing that woman to sire your children was too risky. Her parentage is utterly questionable.” Annoyed, Mrs. Palmer snapped back, “Well, I didn’t exactly have much choice back then, did I? Why are you blaming me? It was your fault I couldn’t get any better prospects!” K
