By nine in the evening, Calvin still hadn’t returned. Arden thus decided to just sleep over.
Though he was tired, he didn’t want to go to bed yet. He kept the lights on and leaned against the headboard before deciding to try giving Kade a video call.

“Hey…” Kade said with a soft sleepy smile as soon as his face appeared on the screen. He too was already in bed, his bare shoulders and chest also showing as he lay on a mound of pillows.
Just seeing him already made Arden feel loads better.
“Hey,” he greeted back and watched as Kade likewise stared at his face before roaming his eyes briefly over his background.
