Campbell StevensIt’s Sunday morning and Lexi left yesterday. I said good-bye to her before my shift last night. Her last two days here were pretty uneventful. I wouldn’t go as far to say I had a good time hanging out with her, but it was manageable. Her disappointment with the way things had ended with Boss dulled down her more, annoying tendencies, which was nice. Lexi can be fun to be around when she isn’t being obnoxious. When I look at her, I’m struck with a powerful force of regret, but I also see friendship. Despite everything, she’s been there for me in her own capacity for as long as I can remember. Her ability to be there doesn’t amount to much, maybe...but it’s more than I got from anyone else growing up. I have to try to remember that. At least her visit’s done, and we can cont
