ELENA “Done for the day,” I sigh, gently pushing the file to the corner after signing across it. The feeling of completeness, that joy that ravaged my entire frame the previous day when it was my first day back, it still courses through my veins, but it feels…less. Almost as if a tinge of it has been diluted and it has depreciated for some reason.
