Like the tidal wave of pain, the realization hits me. This wasn’t an accident, they planned it, they wanted to run us off the road so they could take Halo away from me. “Halo!” I scream just as the loud gong from the hall bangs, reverberating through the shackles of the night. It is midnight. Just behind the glare of the headlight, the bloody moon stands with pride, watching everything happen. Sharp pain explodes through my entire body.
