CHAPTER 43 DRAKE It’s late. The last rays of sunlight stretch across my office floor, turning the polished wood a warm, amber color. I lean back in my chair, the leather creaking softly under my weight, and let out a long breath. The day feels like it’s been a week long, filled with meetings that go on and on. My mind is a whirlwind of budgets, reports, and pack politics. All I want is to go home, but the question of which home to go to gnaws at me. The mansion, or Elena’s new house?
