Chapter Five
Once everyone passed through the fire and was reunited with their mate, the Elder guided them deeper into the forest. The extended families weren't invited, but that was fine. I knew what would happen.
Nika and Helena would shift into dragon form, fly together, and seal their mating. After tonight, they'd be officially paired and even if they'd still be the victim of gossip, nobody would refute their bond.
"So... What do we do now?" I asked, turning to Martin's family. I'd never been on this side of the ceremony and didn't really know what we were supposed to do now. Go home? Celebrate? Another ceremony? I hoped not.
