Chapter Eight One Month Anniversary The travel alarm Alex had brought woke Kimberly with its light beeping, but she remained very still, snuggled against him. As if on a mattress of eggshells, Alex tried to scoot out from his sheet-ties without disturbing her. She had hours before her first class, and the early awakening only let her enjoy her opportunity for sleeping in more, but she scrunched her face and twisted in somnolent irritation.
