Jade's POV
15 boxes, that is what 2 years had amounted to. 15 boxes, and most of them were for the kids. I just needed to get out of this situation. We packed everything into the back of the SUV and then headed to the town borders. I asked if we could stop at the daycare, so Sarah could see the twins one last time. Reluctantly, Bela drove over.
Sarah greeted me and launched into a million questions. Then she asked to speak to me alone.
"Jade, are they making you go?" she asked.
"I'm doing this of my own free will," I assured her, "I haven't told you everything about my past. There is too much to tell right now. What I can tell you is that if everything goes well with the lawyers, I will regain my family's estate and I can rebuild what my father and older brother destroyed."
