*continuation of Jade's nightmare*
I don't know how long the conversation lasted, but I was tired by the end and I had said nothing. It felt like nothing had been resolved. When dad dismissed everyone, we were all glad to be out of that room. The air was so thick, you could cut it with a knife. Mom walked me to my room and said I should probably get some sleep. A nap would do me some good. I didn't want to argue with her. I felt it myself.
When I closed my door, I checked everywhere, making sure that man wasn't hiding. I then closed and locked my window. Sleep found me fast and found myself running from the rogue who had been in my room. Screaming for help and no one coming to my aid.
I awoke in a cold sweat. My mother is sitting at the foot of my bed.
