Jade's POV
My brain was going a mile a minute. This couldn't be. The last I heard everyone had been killed. I was starting to think I had lost my mind. I couldn't catch my breath.
"Breath Jade," I heard Bela through the fog in my mind, "You are going to pass out. When is your shift over? There isn't time to explain right now."
"I get off at seven," I replied.
"So we will meet then," Bela said.
"Actually, that won't work," I said quickly, "I have to pick up my children from the daycare."
Bela's eyes narrowed when I finished my statement about children. He seemed just as surprised as I had originally been when I found out I was pregnant. Victor's face went into a huge smile.
"I'm an uncle?" he said a little too loud for my liking.
"Yes, now keep your voice down," I hushed him.
