CHAPTER FOUR

“He really has bad taste, I can't believe that my mate would date someone like barbie doll” Brianna ranted, her hands on her jaw.

She was seated on the large comfy bed in her lodge and chatting with her Wolf Bae, who was also heartbroken because of their mate's behavior.

‘i can't believe it too, I thought he could be trusted, guess all men are the same then” Bae whispered.

Brianna snickered at her words “really? All men are the same, you haven't been heartbroken by a man before so how did you come to that conclusion?”

“That's the phrase going around, I've heard a lot of women on the Tv shows you watch saying that” Bae replied.

“Women that have been toyed with by men more than once, you've barely gotten your first heartbreak” Brianna said in a duhh tone.

“And it happened to be my mate, quite unexpected huh…you know what I think? I think you should find that barbie b***h and beat the hell out of her,scratch out her fake lash extensions and peel off her nails….”

“Woah …hold it there,I didn't know that you were this violent, we aren't doing any of that” Brianna said with a period.

“Why! That b***h is probably rubbing herself all over our mate, scenting him and gloating at our misfortune” Bae snarled.

“That doesn't give us the right, it's not her fault that our mate is such a person” Brianna whispered, just then there was a knock on the door.

“Whose that?” Brianna asked.

There was no response for some time so she thought that her ears were playing tricks on her.

She relaxed and didn't bother to go to the door anymore, but the knock sounded on her door again and again and again.

Brianna was now pissed off, she stood up from the bed and walked towards the door.

“Let it better not be a silly prank else you are going to receive it from me” she fling the door open and was surprised to see the same person she had been talking about with her wolf, standing right in front of her

“Hey, can we talk about Adam?” Barbie doll asked and walked Into the room without taking permission from the owner.

Brianna closed the door gently and turned to face Barbie doll, her arms crossed together.

“What do you want from me?” Brianna asked, her guards were raised up, getting ready to attack Barbie doll if she made any unwelcomed move.

“I'm Hannah, nice to meet you” Hannah said, stretching out her hands for a handshake

But Brianna ignored her and walked straight to her bed

“It's that how you behave? You waltz into my room uninvited? Were you not trained at all?” Brianna asked angrily.

Hannah closed her eyes and took a deep breath, reminding herself that she wasn't allowed to act out.

She was here for an imposter issue which would benefit her greatly.

“If that's what you are angry about, I'm sorry, I just want to talk about Adam” Hannah apologized.

Brianna who had received an apology was surprised as she didn't expect it but she didn't let it show on her face.

“Ok then…so who is Adam?” Brianna asked.

“Oh.. that's your mate and my boyfriend Hannah replied, lowering her head but not too quick for Brianna to catch the blush on her cheeks.

Her face changed and her mood spoiled at the mention of boyfriend.

‘ I'm done with this b***h,I'm gonna tear her Into pieces’ Bea growled, struggling to take over and deal with Hannah.

‘Calm down Bae, let's know why she came’ Brianna said.

“Your boyfriend?...is my mate,” Brianna said slowly.

Hannah sighed and walked towards Brianna , holding her hands softly.

“See, Brianna I hate to say this to you but, I don't think you can have Adam , no… Adam doesn't even want to be with you in the first place” Hannah said with pitiful eyes.

Brianna felt her heart break at that statement but she didn't want to let the enemy see her in a low position, so she held her head high and asked.

“And why do you think so? I am the one who is his mate, not you…”

“We have been together for 3 years now, I was there for him when he was depressed, he took me as his only light and I would hate it if all these makes him relapse” Hannah said in a sad tone, a year rolled down her cheeks.

Brianna stared at Hannah not knowing what she was getting at.

“So…What are you trying to tell me, that I can't be with my mate so he won't relapse? I don't really understand what you are saying, can you explain more to me?” Brianna asked.

“The Truth is Adam wants to reject you” Hannah dropped the bombshell.

Brianna burst into laughter, not believing what she had just heard “Reject me? Why then did he attend this pack party? He should never have come in the first place to save me from this heartbreak, I would have seen him as dead or something!” Brianna yelled, tears rolling down her cheeks .

To hell with not letting the enemy see her weakness and fragility.

“Adam was forced to host this party, as the alpha of this pack, he needs to find his Luna so as to be able to run the pack effectively, but the truth is that he doesn't want you. But he's a shy person and is scared of breaking your heart, that's why I'm the one here today. All his life, he lived for his people and for the pack, never for himself, even things that would cause him unhappiness, he endured them but I don't want him to anymore.

I want him to live for himself, to be free to choose whatever and whoever he wants”

By now, Hannah herself was crying, she held onto Brianna's hands and lolled into her eyes

Two women stood in the middle of a room , holding each other and looking into each other's eyes, their eyes filled with tears.

Hannah bent close and whispered.

“So please reject him”

“Set him free”
