CHAPTER ONE

“Do I really have to go?” Brianna asked , plopping down on her bed listlessly.
She was such a shy person and an introvert, she didn't like going out and hearing that they were going to another pack was quite a jarring thing for her.
“Really are we going to have this talk?” Harry, Brianna's father asked.
“That's because you want to, you see… season 2 of jujutsu kaisen was just recently released and I need to catch up on it” Brianna said, pointing at her laptop that was loading an anime scene on its screen.
Harry sighed and placed his hands on his waist, rubbing his temples worriedly, wondering who had shown his hermit of a daughter the world of anime.
“Not if there's going to be a ball where all unmated werewolves from all over the country would attend and there's a high possibility of finding your mate?” Harry asked.
Brianna who was positioning herself very well and was getting ready to begin her anime Marathon paused and looked at her father with wide eyes
“You did not just say that…is it true?” She asked in an excited tone.
“I swear to God that's the truth and fun fact…it's being hosted by one of the most powerful packs so you can guess the turn up rate” Harry smirked at his daughter.
Brianna jumped on the bed, squealing happily
“I'm Soo in!”
Brianna looked around the bustling pack, almost getting dizzy because of the huge amount of people walking around.
SUV’s, jeeps, buses, cars of different sizes parked on the parking space to the extent that there was little space for her father's Phantom to park in.
“If my baby gets scratched I swear to God I'm going to give it to that alpha” Harry swore, caressing his car, his most favorite among his collection of cars.
Brianna giggled at her father's antics “The crowd's huge, I guess being powerful does a lot of things” Brianna mused.
“Nahh…they are just mateless asses looking for their mate, Even if it was a regular person that hosted , a huge crown would turn up” Harry countered, licking up his duffel bag and Brianna's traveling box from the back seat.
Brianna stretched out her hands to take it from him but he glared at her
“Don't stress Darling, it's my duty to pamper you, now why don't you be a sweetie and hold the car keys for me”
He said with a smile.
Brianna almost blushed if she hadn't remembered that the man was her father.
“I want a man like you Dad,” Brianna confessed.
“Come on kid, you keep on saying this , always making your old man teary” Harry laughed.
“I'm really serious, when I find my mate, I want him to be as caring and faithful as you are to mum” Brianna said.
“If he doesn't treat you right, I will set his wrong brain right with my right fist” Harry rhymed
“Ok now you are becoming cringy” Brianna said laughing at his poor excuse of a rhyming joke.
“That's unfair to me, at least I took a huge leap from the last one” He scoffed.
Brianna nodded, trying to play along with him.
At least he was right, her father was known in the house as the one who always made up poor and cringy jokes.
The receptionist showed Brianna hwr room which had been assigned to her.
The Party would last for 3 days after the Alphas meeting therefore free lodging was provided for all the guests for the period of time they would stay in the pack house.
The male lodge was different from the female lodge and the largeness of the building made Brianna marvel.
This pack was really large and powerful.
She sighed in pity ‘no matter how powerful you are, it won't get you a mate, that's why he's 26 and still searching for his mate’ Brianna sighed again.
‘shut the f**k up b***h, look at the one who’s to talk’ a voice said in her head.
‘hey Bea … are you finally awake?’ Brianna asked excitedly, happy that her lazy wolf had finally spoken to her after one full week.
She opened the door of the room and entered, immediately she kept her bag by the closet, she plopped down on the bed, tired because of the journey.
They had spent a total of 5 hours on the way just to get to the wind winder pack plus the extra minutes spent navigating through the crowd of people.
Brianna, who was not an outdoor person, was already feeling stressed out.
Due to the tiredness when sleep took over her, she was completely unaware.
Brianna looked around the pack manor, her brows scrunched up in confusion,she was lost again.
One disadvantage about being an inside person was that you wouldn't be able to differentiate between East, West, North and South.
She and her father had agreed on meeting at the left intersection between the two shopping malls and here she was wondering if the intersection was on the left or right.
Brianna stood and counted her hands singing the left hand and right hand song.
The song ended up on the hand she was wearing her bracelet so she nodded happily and went in that direction, skipping happily at not having to use her phone for the first time.
Someone bumped into her, causing the loose bracelet she was wearing on her wrist to fall on the ground.
“Who the hell are you, are you blind?!” A shrill voice yelled.
Brianna who was moaning about the bad fate of her expensive bracelet was pissed off.
“I should ask you that , are you blind? You bumped into me!” She yelled.
The person who had yelled at her was a beautiful brown skinned lady with extremely long black hair and deep ocean blue eyes.
She looked like an expensive Barbie doll.
“You b***h! Don't you have eyes, I was on my phone and I didn't see you, what about you, didn't you see me? Can't you avoid me?” The Barbie doll screamed.
Brianna's eyes widened in disbelief , she couldn't believe that someone this entitled and bitchy existed.
“Well maybe if you watched where you were going, this wouldn't have happened, I can't believe that you are blaming me for your mistake, you are such an entitled brat, So much for looking like a Barbie doll” Brianna scoffed.
Barbie doll's eyes widened”I'm f*****g going to deal with you for calling me that, just watch out” she hissed and walked away.
