CHAPTER TWO

Hannah walked into the large luxurious room fuming angrily.
When she didn't see her boyfriend in the room, she kicked the dressing table angrily.
The absence of her boyfriend meant that there was no one to offload her hot temper on.
She pulled off her clothes and lay on the large king bed, covering herself with the duvet and slipped into sleep.
Hannah woke up with the soft sound of feet shuffling around the room.
She opened her eyes little by little and was surprised to see her boyfriend sniffing her shirt, an intoxicated look in his face.
“What the f**k are you doing Acting like a creep?!” Hannah asked .
Adams looked up, his eyes were glowing a tinge of red looking scary but he still flashed Hannah a smile, one that contrasted with the darkness oozing off him.
“Hey Hannah, how was your sleep?” Adam asked, Hannah scoffed and threw the duvet off her body.
Under the duvet she was clearly naked, but Hannah wasn't one bit assumed , she stood up from the bed and walked towards Adam in slow but tempting steps.
“Why do you have to fantasize with the clothes when the original is here” she asked in a low voice
Adam scoffed “I'm not fantasizing, I thought your clothes just smelled good today and I wanted to know the brand of perfume you used today” Adam explained with a smile.
Hannah didn't believe him but she didn't say anything else.
Adam cleared his throat and looked at Hannah, as if he wanted to say something.
“Say what you want to say , I'm not biting you” Hannah hissed at him.
Adam exhaled and looked around the ro “you know why I'm hosting this party right?” He asked in a careful tone.
“Yeah to find your mate, I already know the news going around and trust me when I say that I don't like it one bit” Hannah exclaimed.
“Let's break up,” Adams suddenly said out loud, making Hannah freeze.
“You …are joking right?” Hannah asked , Adam lowered his head not knowing how to convince her
“Why ? We've been together for 3 years Adam , 3 whole years!” She yelled, emphasizing the three with her fingers.
“I know that it's true but the thing is that there's a huge possibility of me finding my mate tomorrow and I don't want to pass the wrong idea to her,” Adam said .
Hannah laughed in mockery.
“Your mate this , your mate that, what about me who has been with you since , can you just be with me forever?” Hannah asked in a desperate tone but Adam shook his head, he wasn't interested in spending a forever with someone who wasn't his mate.
He didn't want to make the same mistakes as his father.
“I'm sorry Hannah” he apologized in a low voice.
“I don't want to hear that word, listen to me carefully, I was the one that broke up with you ,are you hearing me? I did it pit of the goddess of my heart” Hannah said pointing at Adam with her well manicured fingers
Adam nodded his head frantically, Hannah hissed and snatched her clothes from his hands , she wore it quickly and went out the room.
“Don't come back begging me, if your mate turns out to be some ugly and horrible person” she said, banging the door loudly as she left.
Adam exhaled and leaned on the wall
It wasn't easy but it was worth it.
Brianna held onto her father's hand as he led her to the orch where the party for the unmated werewolves was being held.
“Are you scenting your mate already?” Harry asked , staring at his daughter with excited eyes.
“I don't think it's done that way Dad,” Brianna said .
“Who told you that lie, when I met your father , I scented her out in the…”
“Seriously Dad? Are you gonna start narrating the story of how you met mom right here in the doorway leading to a party where I might hopefully find my mate?” Brianna asked, interrupting him.
Harry raised his head in surrender “sorry baby girl, but remember anything wrong happens just a phone call away in the next building”Harry said and tousled her hair.
“Hey get your hands.off my head, it took me hours to style it” Brianna protested.
Harry laughed and pecked her cheeks before he left reluctantly, going to the other building where a party was also being hosted for mated werewolves.
Brianna walked into the party hall, the music and crowd of werewolves shuffling and mingling among each other reminded her of her greatest fear , PEOPLE.
Brianna sat on the couch in a hidden corner of the hall, a glass of mocktail in her hands , wondering why she had attended this party in the first place.
First of all she was not really enjoying herself, secondly all the men who had invited her to dance looked irresponsible and lastly she had sat here for 30 minutes and she still hadn't gotten a sniff of her mate to make matters worse her wolf Bae was ignoring her, again!
Just while Brianna was lost in thoughts, lamenting why her life wasn't actually the best , a tantalizing scene filtered into her nose making her moan.
The refreshing and mesmerizing scent of Chocolate and Strawberry, like strawberry choco shake,it was feminine but at the same time had a masculine tinge in it.
Even Bae, who had been ignoring Brianna, couldn't help it.
She screamed out
“MATE!”
