“What do you mean you’re not sure you’ll return tonight?”
I pressed the phone tight to my ear, knuckles white, like squeezing it harder might change what Lulu had just said.
“Seriously?” I whispered. “Babes, I can’t be part of this. Mr Raymond’s a teacher and he knows the rules. What if one of them female teachers goes to your room and neither of you are nowhere to be found?”

“That’s what I’m saying,” she said quietly. “It’s been handled. Just tell Nic to be careful. Make sure she doesn’t get caught.”
