“Put me down, you jerk!” Her teeth sank into my back, sharp.
She bit like a rabid cat.
I didn’t flinch..wouldn’t.
If I dropped her now, she’d scream bloody murder until the whole servants came running.
“Welcome, Young Alpha. Any help there?” Chief Butler James’ voice came too polite, too knowing.
“Are my parents back yet?”
Nicole thrashed against me, hair whipping.
“No, they won’t be returning tonight. They’ve got…”
