The desert-dwellers were full of excitement and curiosity . Never in their lives had they seen so many military trucks full of soldiers . The atmosphere in the desert was pregnant with dust particles as fans from the many choppers flew the dry unconsolidated sandy soil as they landed . Many soldiers alighted and hurried into the enclosed compound . As curiosity took the better of them , and after sensing that nobody was interested in chasing them away , they also ventured into the compound .
