Beyond Millinium company Inc. was located in a high, stone-walled compound occupying thousands of hectares on the southern part of Libyan soil. It was a barren land filled with rock pebbles and sand dunes. The dunes were continuously migrating due to the strong dessert storms which changed direction in relation to the North Africa Monsoon Winds. The descending cold winds from the Ahaggar and Tibesti mountains robbed of the the area the occasional torrential rains. The daily diurnal range of temperature was exceptionally high due to the unbearably high day temperatures and extremely low night temperatures.
